12.00 Espanyol v Granada

Granada cannot keep a clean sheet having conceded in every away game. Espanyol have had the better of the head to head in recent times, winning four and drawing two of the last six meetings today. The last five at Espanyol resulted in three home wins, a draw and an away win. Espanyol are unbeaten in six at home (four draws) whilst Granada have lost six and drawn three away this season. All stats suggest a home win but at around 1.61, Espanyol are a bit risky. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this end in a draw.

3.15 Real Madrid v Malaga

Real are unbeaten at home but have drawn twice, Malaga have drawn four and lost five on the road. Malaga have drawn the last two against Real and also drawn twice on their last six visits here. It would be very easy to just say Real will win easily, and they may well do, but at odds of around 1.14 they must be worth a small Lay against a stubborn side like Malaga. If Malaga lead you would have the option to trade out.

7.45 Villarreal v Valencia

This is a local derby with no corner given. Villarreal have been playing really well and Valencia have struggled so far this season. Villarreal have won three and drawn two of their last five and Valencia have won one and drawn two of their last five but they haven’t won away in five. Villarreal have won the last two meetings today and will be confident of extending that to three. Valencia will have other ideas but will have to be at their best.  A narrow home win appeals as the likeliest score.

11.00 Osasuna v Sevilla

Sevilla won the last two meetings today by 2-1 and have hit a rich vein of form to become serious title contenders. Osasuna have lost four of their last five at home, four were Over 2.5 goals and Sevilla have won three of their last four away, all Over 2.5 goals. Things have been fairly even in the last six head to head in Pamplona, both winning twice with two draws. Sevilla to win and Over 2.5 goals.

3.15 Athletic Bilbao v Atletico Madrid

A good fixture for Atleti, five wins and a draw in the last six head to head. The problem is that Bilbao are strong at home this season with six wins and two draws in their last eight. Atletico are starting to pick up after a slow start to the season. They have won four, drawn two and lost three of their nine away. Something has to give here and it may become tight so goals are not guaranteed. Both teans to score looks a sensible Betfair Trading/betting option.

5.30 Real Sociedad v Celta de Vigo

Sociedad have been good at home with five wins and two draws from nine, the visitors have won only once on the road all season. That suggests a home win but be aware, Celta are on a five game winning streak in all competitions and Sociedad have won only once in six recent head to heads. Four of those six were over and five of the six saw both teams score.  As three of the six ended in draws, it may be safer to go with both teams to score.
