English Championship Football betting tips

Andy

Once again stats are thin on the ground in this division so we will just give you a few very brief pointers. It is up to you whether you reduce stakes accordingly.

Saturday 25th November 2017

Middlesbrough v Derby

Boro rule this fixture at home and despite the good form of the visitors, they must be backed at home. They have won nine and drawn one of the last ten games between the two at Middlesbrough. The price of Evs is fair for a team going so well this season and with such an outstanding record in this fixture.

Norwich v Preston

Only four meetings today and the two at Norwich ended in one draw and an away win for Preston. Norwich have not won any of their last six at home and with Preston winning away at Bristol City in their last game they might have a chance here despite inconsistency. Consider a Lay of Norwich at around 2.10 (11/10).

Wolves v Bolton

Only six recent meetings today but Bolton have been no push overs, winning two and three draws. Wolves are tough to beat at present and should win but Bolton are unbeaten in seven, drawing five of those. If you like to Lay the short ones, Wolves at 1.36 might be worth a small investment as Bolton may frustrate and even lead in the game.

Hull v Bristol City

Bristol City have not won on their four visits to Hull at this level and have failed to score. This season they have been brilliant and sit in fifth place so perhaps they will break their goal scoring duck. Hull have not won in five and Bristol City are undefeated in their last eight away. I fancy goals here and Over 2.5 goals is available at 1.80 (4/5) with the other option being Both Teams To Score at around 1.66 (4/6).

Barnsley v Leeds

A local derby and Leeds need to get back to consistent winning ways pretty quickly, they have lost seven of their last nine. Barnsley have won four of their last five home meetings today with Leeds but they do concede goals regularly so Both Teams To score at 1.66 (4/6) is probably the safest option.
