Friday sees the first matches of the new season and a degree of care is needed as usual this weekend as new players bed in to new systems and managers try out new formations. We do have a couple of suggestions that seem worth chancing as the statistics are very strong.
Friday 18th 19.30 kick off Bayern Munich v Bayer Leverkusen:
Bayern take on Leverkusen in the first match of the season and this may be closer than the outright odds suggest. Bayern have struggled in their warm up games and Leverkusen might actually go there believing they can get a win. The offered odds of 1.30 (3/10) look too short to lump on and although I cannot bet at that price I would not be too keen to Lay them either. Bayern have won six of the last seven head to head in Munich so clearly Leverkusen have it to do but they may be able to frustrate the hosts for a long time as two recent 0-0 draws indicate, in Leverkusen. For those who really must have a bet/trade, try trading the correct scores 2-0 and 2-1 for a bit of fun and hopefully a profit.
Saturday 19th 2.30 kick off Hoffenheim v Werder Bremen:
Hoffenheim v Werder Bremen looks like the main game to concentrate on this weekend as the stats are extremely strong even for the first game of the season. In the last fourteen league meetings today between the two, all fourteen have seen both teams score. Of those games, ten were over 2.5 goals with the other four all ending 1-1. The other strong statistic here is that all fourteen of those games had a first half goal. That presents us with a lot of options for trading although the odds may be a little prohibitive for some and it may be that you combine whichever one you like best in a multiple with something else. Of these options, both teams to score at 1.50 (1/2) looks like the best and safest option available.
Saturday 19th 2.30 kick off Wolfsburg v Borussia Dortmund:
This fixture is similar to the Hoffenheim game and usually produces goals. In the last twelve league meetings today, all of them went Over 2.5 goals and in eleven of those twelve, both teams scored. Once again the odds are a little prohibitive and you might consider combing these two games in a double to offer a bit more value. Again, there has been a first half goal in all of the twelve games offering a trading option of Laying 0-0 in the half time correct score market.
Saturday 19th 2.30 kick off Hamburg SV v Augsburg:
Five of the six head to head in Hamburg have finished Under 2.5 goals with four of the six having just one goal. Overall there have been twelve Bundesliga meetings today and the last eleven have seen seven wins for Augsburg and four for Hamburg. The only draw, 1-1 was in the first ever meeting. This looks an ideal game for those of you who like to Lay The Draw.
The other games are best watched with nothing major standing out.
Best Bets:
1pt Double Both Teams To Score Hoffenhem v Werder Bremen / Over 2.5 goals Wolfsburg v Dortmund. The double pays around 2.35 (11/8)
