Championship Trading Focus Plenty going on in the Championship this weekend and we’ve got the best of the games covered with what we think are the best trading angles.

Just one thing to note, whilst we offer advice here each week, remember it is a trading advice so consider that when getting involved. If we suggest laying a short priced side and they go behind at any point, even after a few minutes, then we can trade out for a profit as that is what it is all about.

We are at that time of year when some teams need to win and others don’t so we need to tread a little more carefully and also be aware that bookmakers tend to over react when teams need to win. We can sometimes take advantage as contrary to popular belief, teams with nothing to play for, often try just as hard with new contracts, transfers etc to think of.

Millwall v Fulham

This could be game of the weekend with Millwall undefeated in seventeen and Fulham undefeated in twenty one. These two have been winning and scoring for fun and Millwall have dragged themselves to the fringe of the play-offs whilst Fulham still have a chance of automatic promotion. Contrary to recent stats, the three recent meetings today at this level have all ended Under 2.5 goals which if you fancy it is available at 2.10. I am loathe to suggest that though, as Fulham have scored 73 goals this season, only Wolves are better, and Millwall have scored in their last fourteen. It must be goals surely? Fulham have been popular in the market already this week and will be very popular, but at 3.30, Millwall are too big and warrant a small interest.

Derby v Middlesbrough

This is another game that could sort out the men from the boys, and may determine who is in the play-offs. Derby must win as they are at home and have now dropped out of those play-off places. Boro recovered from a loss at Sheff Utd to beat Bristol City. Derby have a game in hand but their form is so poor it is impossible to see them going up and they meet a Boro side who have lost just two in eleven.  In the head to head at Pride Park, Middlesbrough have a win and a draw on their last two visits and may be worth a small interest at 3.00 but I prefer to Lay the home side at 2.50 keeping the draw on side.

Preston v Norwich

I am going to suggest a bit of a shock here. Preston will be very popular at 1.75 as they strive for a play-off place ad may look like bankers with Norwich having nothing to play for. Preston have won their last two but lost three on the trot before that whilst Norwich lost to Cardiff last week but had drawn with Sunderland and beaten Aston Villa before that. Norwich have won on their only two visits here at this level and I think are worth chancing at 5.00 to small stakes here. If they play as they did against Villa, they will win.

Cardiff v Nottm Forest

Cardiff should be bankers for the coupons this week at 1.50 as they take on a Forest side that they beaten seven times with one draw in the last eight meetings today. On current form Forest should not be strong enough to take anything off Cardiff.
