Brentford v QPR

Brentford won 3-1 at QPR in October, their fifth win in the last seven head to head. The last six meetings today were all Over 2.5 goals. Brentford have won their last five at home and beat Stoke in the Cup last week, but QPR beat Swansea 5-1 in the Cup to follow on from a 6-1 thrashing of Cardiff four days before. Maybe they just like playing Welsh teams, but 5.50 is a bit big for a team that are scoring plenty of goals. Over 2.5 goals at 1.67 is probably the safest play here.

Barnsley v Huddersfield

Huddersfield have won four and drawn one of the last five head to head including a 2-1 win earlier in the season. Barnsley won away in the Cup, but Huddersfield lost at Premier League Southampton. Both are in mixed form and with this being a Derby game, it could be tight. Both teams to score at 1.70 appeals as a modicum of value.

Blackburn v Preston

A local derby and no quarter will be given, the game at Preston in October saw Blackburn lead 2-0 only to be beaten 3-2 with three second-half Preston goals. Preston have won five and drawn one of the last six meetings today with five of the six Over 2.5 goals. Both sides have had recent blips, losing their last two and both lost in the FA Cup. Both teams to score at 1.73 is fair, but with goals looking likely, Over 2.5 goals at 2.00 is a better option.

Charlton v West Brom

Only one relevant meeting, the 2-2 draw at The Hawthorns in October, where a 90th minute penalty saw Charlton grab a point. These two met last weekend in the FA Cup with West Brom winning 1-0, ending a run of four games without a win. West Brom have not lost away in seven, Charlton beat Bristol City 3-2 at home, to end a run of five home games without a victory. This could be Unders and as a Betfair Trading choice, Under 2.5 goals at 2.10 will do.

Hull v Fulham

Five recent league meetings today with four Over 2.5 goals, and Fulham managing just one win. Both sides won in the FA Cup last weekend and it is hard to think there will not be plenty of goals here.  Chance Betfair Trading Over 3.5 goals at 2.70 and look to trade out if two early goals.

Leeds v Sheff Wed

This is generally a pretty close fixture with three wins apiece and two draws in the last eight head to head. Five of the last six meetings today at Elland Road ended Under 2.5 goals. Wednesday have lost their last three league games, and although it goes against the stats, I think Over 2.5 goals at 1.19 is the way to go.

Wigan v Bristol City

Five recent meetings today, the last two both ended 2-2 and none of the five games had more than a goal between the teams. Bristol City have lost five of their last six and Wigan have lost just one of their last six. Wigan look a touch big at 2.50, but this may be close and Over 2.5 goals at 2.00 appeals more.

Cardiff v Swansea

The Welsh Derby and Swansea won the reverse fixture 1-0 back in October, their first meeting at this level for eight years. I can’t believe that this will be end to end with goals, even though both defences have struggled of late. With home advantage, Cardiff at 2.40 might be worth backing to trade out if they lead.
