It was great to attend The Matchbook Traders Conference , the only event of its kind. Lee and I met the most influential people in betting exchange trading in London earlier this month.
We met leading academics and legendary trading and gambling icons including, my favourite as always, Harry Findlay. I even bought Harry’s book and I can highly recommend it.
I enjoyed meeting the individuals that are shaping the future of trading and betting.
I mentioned that I’d like to see another event next year in the video below rather than having to wait two years again.
It was a very enjoyable day and we were able to discuss the trends that are shaping the future of trading. The Q&A sessions and workshops were excellent and around 600 traders and industry professionals attended. Lunch was awesome too.
Advanced trading strategies, advanced sports analytics and betting insights were the order of the day for all the panelists and traders that I had the pleasure to meet.
If you’ve ever run events, you’ll know that no matter how amazing they are in concept, it can be tricky to get it right. But this event was planned and executed perfectly. Well done Matchbook!

Attending the next Matchbook conference might be one of the best things you can do for your trading career.
The speakers, sessions, contacts and conversations were great. Personally, I always use conferences as the time to meet new people and build on the relationships I already have.
If you go next year make time to attend The Matchbook Traders Conference social events as well — they’re a great opportunity to connect with people in a more relaxed setting. (Hint: These events are often more important than the sessions!) And don’t be afraid to linger even when the event is over — you don’t want to cut off a great conversation with someone just to be on time to your next session.
In 2021 TradeHost traded 7,937 Betfair UK, IE, US & AU horse racing and greyhound markets.
2022 saw TradeHost become even more profitable with 22,698 Betfair markets traded.
2023 less markets were traded – 17,459 – but a with a similar profit to 2022.
All trades and bets were streamed live on JuiceStorm TV which was was watched by 124,209 traders in 2022.
