Friday 8th September
Derby v Hull
Just two quick stats for this game, there has not been a draw in the last ten meetings today and eight of the last ten were won to nil. The perfect game for those of you who like to Lay the draw.
Saturday 9th September
Fulham v Cardiff
In seven of the last eight meetings today between these two, both teams scored so that is one angle. In the last six meetings today there were four draws with a single win each. Fulham games have been tight this season with all five Under 2.5 goals whilst the five Cardiff games have seen three of five go Over. Something has to give and Cardiff have looked good so far so I’m going to take a chance and Lay Fulham at the prices, currently 2.10 (11/10) and that keeps the draw on side.
Norwich v Birmingham
The last six head to head have seen four draws and one win each so games are usually tight. Birmingham will set up for a draw so it will be down to Norwich to break them down and as both sides have won just once this season from five games, this has a look of another draw about it. A game I will leave alone but those playing could try a correct score 1-1.
Reading v Bristol City
This is the opposite with no draws in the last nine meetings today between the sides although some could argue that means a draw is overdue. The games in Reading have ended 2-1, 1-0, 1-0, 4-1, 2-0 and 0-2 so there is a strong favour for a home win. With the current odds available it might be worth chancing a Lay of Bristol City at odds of just under 3.00 (2/1). If you fancy Reading I wouldn’t put you off at 2.40 (7/5).
Sheff Wed v Nottingham Forest
Sheffield Wed have won the last five meetings today between the two and there has been just one draw in the last eleven head to head. Forest are the stronger of the two so far this season and used to have a good record at Hillsborough. They won three on the trot 1-0 before the last two defeats. Under Warburton they look a solid side and Wednesday have not hit the ground running yet. Both teams to score at 1.80 (4/5) appeals most in the betting markets, if you are getting involved.
QPR v Ipswich
Another game which rarely ends in a draw, the last twelve meetings today have ended with six wins apiece. Eight of those twelve games have been Over 2.5 goals. This season QPR have had one draw and Ipswich none, so Lay the draw is a real option but I prefer Over 2.5 goals at 1.83 (5/6)
