Bundesliga
Friday 10th Bayer Leverkusen v Werder Bremen
The last six meetings today between the two have all gone Over 2.5 goals and both sides have been in the goals recently. In fact nearly three-quarters of games involving one of these sides this season have gone Over 2.5 goals. As Werder Bremen have scored in their last ten away we can either go Over 2.5 goals or look at Both Teams To Score.
Saturday 11th Freiburg v Hoffenheim
The last seven meetings today have seen both sides score and five of the seven games were Over 2.5 goals. There have been two 3-3 draws and a 5-3 in those seven matches so small stakes on some fancy correct scores could prove profitable from a trading angle. Freiburg have scored in nine of eleven home games, Hoffenheim in ten of eleven away so it has to be the goals angle, 1.70 is a fair price for Over 2.5 goals and perhaps split stakes with Over 3.5 goals at 2.80.
Sunday 12th Schalke v Augsburg
In the last eight meetings today these two have played out four draws and five of those eight games have been Under 2.5 goals. The two sides are fairly evenly matched, sitting 12th and 13th in the table and it would be no surprise if this again ended in a draw. I prefer to chance 1-1 and 2-2 and trade the correct score around those.
Sunday 12th Hamburg v Borussia M’gladbach
The spoils have been shared in recent seasons for this fixture in Hamburg, two homes, two aways and two draws. Of those six games, five of them were Under 2.5 goals. Hamburg unbeaten in six at home, four wins and two draws. M’gladbach last five away they have won three and drawn one. Hamburg did well to win last week following their 8-0 drubbing by Bayern the week before but M’gladbach are in much better form, the downside for them is their midweek Europa League game although they don’t have far to travel to Gelsenkirchen to play Schalke. Over 2.5 goals here is one option at around 2.10 (11/10) but I prefer Both Teams To Score at 1.75 as a safer bet/trade.
English Championship
It was really difficult to find anything of note this week so here are just a couple of stats.
Saturday 11th Barnsley v Ipswich
In the last eight head to head seven of those eight, both teams scored. four 1-1 draws.
Saturday 11th Brentford v Huddersfield
In the last eight head to head these two have averaged Over 4 goals a game scoring 38 goals in the eight matches. Only on one occasion did a team not score and that was Brentford in a 4-0 home defeat . All eight went Over 2.5 goals with six going Over 3.5 goals.
Saturday 11th Cardiff v Birmingham
These two are the opposite when they meet, games do not have goals, Only one of the last ten has gone Over 2.5 goals. Five of those ten games ended in a draw so a low scoring draw must be favourite.
Saturday 11th Norwich v Blackburn
Only three games in this division recently and all three went Over 2.5 goals. That is a small sample size but the two both need a win and have been finding the net and conceding lately.
