With so many meaningless games left, we will try and concentrate on those games that still have a meaning for one or both of the teams.

5.30 Osasuna v Sporting Gijon

If Gijon are to escape relegation then this is a must win game but it has not been a lucky ground for them in the past and Osasuna are still mathematically in with a chance themselves. On current form it is hard to see either side winning and 0-0 is a real possibility. In six recent meetings today in all competitions in Osasuna, the home side have won four with one draw and an away win, four of the six were Under 2.5 goals.

Osasuna won two, drew one and lost seven of their last ten with seven Over 2.5 goals and Sporting have won one, drew three and lost six of their last ten with seven Over 2.5 goals. As a point is no good t either, then in theory the game could open up and we may get more goals than in recent meetings today. The market has reacted in the same way and the Evs has now gone but I still think that the Over 2.5 goals current price of 4/5 (1.80) is worth a bet.

11.00 Real Sociedad v Deportivo La Coruna

Another must win game, this time for the home team who still have a chance of European football next season but must get the three points here. Deportivo are all but safe but another three points would be welcome however they may think they have a couple of better opportunities in the coming weeks. I’m going to go for a bit of a shock here, I cannot tip Deportivo to win away when they have won only once on the road all season but they could thwart Sociedad once again. In the last seven head to head, five ended in draws including the last three in San Sebastián, two of which ended 1-1. With those kind of stats and the pressure heaped on the home side, then a draw at 3/1 (4.00) looks the play again and for those who like a bit more excitement with their betting, 1-1 may be a shout for correct score at 7/1 (8.00).
