Alaves v Getafe
Alaves are probably safe but another couple of wins would calm the nerves and their home form has been strong. The recent defeat at home by Betis ended a run of six wins and one draw on their own patch and they have scored in the last eleven. Getafe have managed two away wins but have drawn six suggesting they set up solidly on the road. Alaves’s need is greater and that makes the 2.40 appeal to small stakes with a small stake also on both teams to score at 2.10.
Celta Vigo v Sevilla
It is a real fight for next seasons Europa League qualification and Sevilla’s task has been made tougher by the recent form of arch rivals Betis. Celta also have an outside chance but have won only two of their last six and Sevilla looked back to their best against Barcelona last week. They have the Champions League on their minds and normally I wouldn’t consider them away but at the price they are worth a small interest at 3.50 especially as they won here last season 3-0. The other option is Over 2.5 goals as four of the last five meetings today have gone Over.
Real Betis v Eibar
Two sides in different veins of form with Betis winning their last three and Eibar no win in four. Both sides lack consistency and that makes it very difficult to predict one team winning. Betis have a habit of letting you down when they really should win and I cannot risk them as they have been performing better away from home. Eibar have won only one of their last seven but have managed two draws. The two have met five times at this level with three wins for Eibar and a draw so they have had the better of the fixture. I’m going to suggest that we wait until 70 minutes have gone in the match and then lay the current score at that time which should be somewhere around 2.00. A late goal then wins for us and as Betis have scored seventeen and conceded twelve and Eibar scored seven and conceded ten after the 75th minute, much more than in any other 15 minute period in their games.

Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid
A win for either would go a long way to settling who finishes second and Atletico will be well aware that Real need the three points more than they do. They have an excellent recent record in the league at the Bernabeu with three wins and a draw on the last four visits. The downside is that they have lost their last two away games albeit at Barcelona and Villarreal. I cannot take Real at 1.80 and could only recommend small stakes if you bet Atleti at 4.50. A risky play for small stakes that could pay dividends is Under 2.5 goals at 2.00 as four of the last five meetings today and four of the last five in the Bernabeu, have been Under. Yet again there is a downside in that Real are capable of exploding against anyone, although they do tend to struggle against their neighbours.

Valencia v Espanyol
Valencia sit a point behind Real and have been in great form of late but so have the visitors Espanyol. Valencia have won seven and drawn one of their last eight, Espanyol have drawn six of their last nine with just one defeat. This boils down to whether Valencia can break Espanyol down. Valencia have won six and drawn one of the last seven meetings today in the Mestalla and amazingly five of those wins were by 2-1. Plenty of options if you don’t want to take the short odds on Valencia with both teams to score, Over 2.5 goals or correct score 2-1 for a small bet. I prefer Over 2.5 goals at 1.91.
