Alaves v Real Betis
Both sides had a desperate start to the season getting beaten 3-0 so it is vital for them both to get something out of this game. Alaves clearly had the tougher game, away at Barcelona and looked good defending for two thirds of the game and it is their home form that will determine whether they are involved in a relegation battle. Betis dominated the game but were stunned by Levante who scored with their only three chances and they did win both fixtures last season. I’m tempted to suggest a Lay of the home side at around 2.66 as I think Betis should win but this gives us the draw on side too.

Espanyol v Valencia
Valencia were impressive after coming from behind to draw with Atletico and arguably unlucky not to win and this is a fixture that has been kind to them in the past with three victories in their last four visits. The two sides have not drawn in ten meetings today which brings in Lay The Draw for those of you who like that trade. Espanyol got a good point away at Celta Vigo and many will see the 3.00 on them as a decent price at home but I cannot oppose Valencia and 2.50 is a fair price
Sevilla v Villarreal
Probably the game of the weekend and a fixture that has regularly produced goals with five of the last eight meetings today going Over 2.5 goals. Sevilla had a confidence boosting victory away at Vallecano last weekend with Villarreal stunned at home by Sociedad after taking the lead. There have been three draws in the last five meetings today in Seville with two home wins and the home side are just fair value at 1.66 and as we can get 1.70 on Over 2.5 goals, that looks a better option.
Girona v Real Madrid
I wasn’t impressed with Madrid against Getafe despite the 2-0 victory and I certainly would not want to take 1.33 away at Girona despite the home side being held 0-0 in their opening game. Girona won this fixture 2-1 last season and quotes of 8/1 are a little insulting. Of course we all know that Real are always capable of taking the smaller clubs apart but sides like Girona love these fixtures, especially at home and I think 8/1 is too big although some of you may prefer to Lay Real at the shorter price keeping the draw on side.

Levante v Celta Vigo
Not normally a game I would get involved in but there are two very strong stats for those of you who like to trade that way. Levante won their first game with Celta playing a draw but this fixture belongs to Celta who have won the last seven meetings today including the last five at Levante with four of those five victories by 1-0. Celta can be backed at 2.70 with correct score 1-0 at 7/1.
