As with the other leagues it looks like it will take three or four games to settle down and whilst some sides have started well, others have not hit the ground running and have underperformed. Real Madrid have looked more “together” than I had thought they would and Barcelona have also started solidly and not yet conceded thanks to VAR! Atletico have been their normal solid, tough to beat selves and it looks at this early stage that we have a competition ahead.

Getafe v Real Vallodolid
It looks like Getafe may prove stronger than my pre-season thoughts had suggested and a win over Eibar following a good display against Real in defeat show that they should be good enough to win these types of fixtures. Vallodolid will take time to adapt to life in the top flight but a 0-0 draw in Girona before a narrow defeat to Barcelona shows they may be no mugs at this level and should win their share of games (If they can get that pitch sorted!). The two met most recently in Segunda division with both teams winning their home games and that advantage makes Getafe the play here at around 1.75 with a view to trading and keeping the profit on the home win if they lead.
Eibar v Real Sociedad
Eibar lost to Getafe and Huesca and this looks like it could be a long season. They do however have a great record at home to Sociedad and this is a game they really cannot afford to lose. The sides have met eight times with no away wins with Eibar winning three of the four home games. Sociedad have won at Villarreal and drawn at Leganes and have another away fixture here whilst the “New Anoeta” is completed. This is one of those strange games where Sociedad should win but the market is all for Eibar at the start of the week and it seems safer to play Unders if you must get involved.

Celta Vigo v Atletico Madrid
Atletico love playing Celta and have won the last six meetings today and on six of their last seven visits to Vigo and despite a steady start to the season, they really need to start winning these away games sooner rather than later. This is the perfect fixture for them and despite Celta starting with a win and a draw, Atletico should win but at 1.70 we need to look for another angle. They have won to nil on four of their last five visits and that looks like a sensible option at 2.60.

Levante v Valencia
A tough place for Valencia to go and in the last eleven meetings today there has been on away win. Levante have won three of the last four meetings today at home but they are an average side at best and Valencia should be too good but I cannot take 2.10 away from home in a local Derby. On current form both teams to score at around 1.66 is the safest option but it is not impossible to see Levante getting something from the game as they have scored in both games and a Lay of Valencia for trading may pay off.
Real Betis v Sevilla
Both meetings today last year saw goals with a 2-2 and a 3-5 so entertainment looks likely despite Betis getting off to a slow start whilst their neighbours have looked quite solid. Recent form will go out of the window in this Derby game so it will come down to which side wants it more and the home side have failed to win in the last five meetings today in the Villamarín and that is quite a telling statistic. I cannot back Sevilla at 2.30 and despite not wanting to sit on the fence I can see this being a draw at 3.60 with a correct score of 1-1 at 7.00 being the solid option.
