La Liga continues this weekend and, as always, we’ve got the best of the action covered.
Friday 29th March 2019
Girona v Athletic Bilbao
A mid-table clash between two inconsistent teams who have only met three times before. All three games were Under 2.5 goals and all three were home wins. Girona have not won in eight at home but have won their last three away whilst Bilbao have won three of their last five, Under 2.5 goals is the obvious shout at 1.50 but that is a bit short so a speculative play on Girona at 2.70 with a view to trading is the shout.
Saturday 30th March 2019
Getafe v Leganes
A local derby with a lot to play for, particularly the home side who still sit in the Champions League places, but the away side need the points to move away from the relegation zone. This could be a tight game with Unders coming into play, but Getafe have won their last four at home and are unbeaten in seven so as Leganes have lost four of their last five away, a narrow Getafe win looks the call so a home win at 1.91 with a view to trading looks a fair option.
Barcelona v Espanyol
A local derby which Barcelona usually win, the last seven head to head in the Camp Nou ended 5-0, 4-1, 5-0, 5-1, 1-0, 4-0 and 4-0. Barcelona have lost one at home all season and Espanyol just one away. Barcelona to win and Over 3.5 goals a small play at 2.00.
Celta Vigo v Villarreal
With Celta so badly out of form, losing ten of their last twelve, this looks an opportunity for Villarreal to extend their winning run to three. They also have a fantastic record in Vigo with three wins and two draws in their last five visits. A Lay of Celta Vigo at 2.70 looks the best value.
Sunday 31st March 2019
Sevilla v Valencia
An in and out side in Sevilla, who have won their last two, take on a Valencia side who are unbeaten in ten but who have drawn sixteen of their twenty-eight games. Prior to the two wins, Sevilla had lost six of their previous eight. Four of the last five head to head were Under 2.5 goals and this game has a 1-1 draw written all over it. Unders is available at 2.00 so that looks a fair option.
Rayo Vallecano v Real Betis
Rayo have lost seven in a row so the inconsistent Betis should go for the jugular, but will they? Rayo have won three of the last four meetings today in Madrid. This is a game that could go either way, but I fancy Betis might win although 2.40 is hardly much value. For those who don’t want to take that price, both teams to score at 1.70 is a reasonable option.
Valladolid v Real Sociedad
A fixture that is usually close and the last two meetings today in Valladolid both ended 2-2. Valladolid won at Eibar to end a four-match losing run, and Sociedad have drawn three of their last five away. Both teams to score at 1.91 seems a reasonable play.
