La Liga continues this weekend and, as always, we’ve got the best of the action covered.
Saturday 23rd February 2019
Getafe v Rayo Vallecano
Getafe won this local derby by 2-1 away in October but Rayo have a good record at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez, winning on four of their last five visits, and scoring in all five. Getafe are having a fine season but with every game the pressure to get into Europe next season is mounting so on that evidence we can try a small Lay of Getafe at around 1.80 with a view to trading.
Sevilla v Barcelona
This is usually an exciting game with the last five meetings today in Seville ending 2-2, 1-2, 2-1, 2-2 and 1-4 so we should expect goals. Barcelona are not playing well enough to warrant a bet at 2.00 but a small Lay at that price with a chance to trade if Sevilla lead purely based on Sevilla’s home form. Sevilla are not in the best of form themselves but at home for the visits of the big clubs, they do usually perform.
Athletic Bilbao v Eibar
Bilbao’s home form will be vital over the next few weeks as they are in a relegation battle, although they should be good enough to get out of it. Eibar just like drawing games, seven of their last ten ended level. The last four head to head were all Under 2.5 goals with the two most recent meetings today ending 1-1. Try Bilbao at 2.05 and take your stake back if they lead.
Sunday 24th February 2019
Atletico Madrid v Villarreal
Only two of the last twelve head to head went Over 2.5 goals and in Madrid, recent games ended 1-1, 0-1, 0-0, 0-1 and 1-0. Atletico still have a chance of the title but can afford no more slip ups so this is a must win and as is Simeone’s way, if they lead, they often settle for that. Under 2.5 goals at 1.66.
Valladolid v Real Betis
Just one recent meeting, back in October and Valladolid won 1-0. A lot will depend upon which Betis turn up, the cup side who are playing so well in Europe and the Copa del Rey , or the league side who seem unable to string a decent set of results together. With Betis playing in Europe, try Valladolid at 2.70 with a view to trading
Levante v Real Madrid
With Real Madrid needing a confidence boost, the last place they will want to go to is to play against a team that they have not beaten in the last three meetings today. Levante won in Madrid in October having drawn the two previous meetings today and that will give them confidence here. A win away at Celta by 4-1 last week was a welcome change of luck and they take on a Real side beaten at home by Girona and without their captain Ramos. We cannot consider Real at 1.57 so a small Lay with a view to trading is the best call here.
