La Liga continues this weekend and, as always, we’ve got the best of the action covered.
Saturday 20th April 2019
Celta Vigo v Girona
The sides have met three times at this level with two wins for Girona and a 3-3 draw. Celta are in a real relegation battle and had been unbeaten in three before succumbing to Atletico in Madrid. Girona have lost their last four but won three of their last four away. It is a tough one to call but there could be goals so Over 2.5 goals at 1.73 looks a fair-trading option.
Eibar v Atletico Madrid
Eibar have never beaten Atletico at this level managing just two draws from nine games, those two draws coming on their last two visits to Madrid. Their chances here rest mainly upon the Atletico players frame of mind as Atletico have won seven of their last nine and are pushing for second place in La Liga. Eibar have lost only three at home and despite being safe, they will be up for this. Both teams to score at 2.00 appeals as a decent option here.
Barcelona v Real Sociedad
The head to head in Barcelona in recent years has seen Barcelona win the last eight, six of those eight were Over 2.5 goals. The biggest factor on this game could be whether Barca ease off with other games in mind. Sociedad are comfortably mid-table with little to play for so are probably vulnerable. Under 2.5 at 3.20 as a possible trading option if we get a quiet opening twenty minutes.
Sunday 21st April 2019
Getafe v Sevilla
The last four head to head were all Under 2.5 goals. In Getafe the recent games ended 0-1, 1-1, 2-1, 1-0 and 1-1. This is almost a “winner takes fourth-place” match and the two in form teams should provide a decent spectacle. Getafe have lost just one in eleven but are starting to look a little shaky whilst Sevilla have won their last three and five of their last six so are probably favourites. Under 2.5 goals is 1.73 and that looks the most obvious play with a view to trading.
Real Betis v Valencia
Four recent meetings today in Seville ended 3-6, 0-0, 1-0 and 3-1 so not much to glean from that and current form is more relevant. Valencia have lost just one of their last fourteen and Betis are still inconsistent with four defeats in their last seven matches. Over 2.5 goal at 1.91 with a view to trading.
Villarreal v Leganes
Villarreal need the win against a Leganes side who are unbeaten in three and who are probably safe. Villarreal struggle to win at home with just three victories from sixteen games so are not a betting proposition at odds on. Both teams to score at 1.80 seems the safest option.
