Sevilla v Barcelona
The seven recent head to head were all Over 2.5 goals with four Over 3.5 goals. The three games in Seville ended 2-4, 2-2 and 1-2. Sevilla saw off Betis at home and Barcelona looked good in winning at Mallorca. Barcelona will not have things their own way here and I can see Sevilla holding them, especially if they can grab the first goal. On balance, we could go with goals, but that price, 1.61 offers no value, although you could wait ten minutes and then trade it. A small Lay of Barca at 1.80 with a view to trading is the preferred option.
Sevilla 39% Over 2.5 goals 21% Over 3.5 goals
Barcelona 68% Over 2.5 goals 50% Over 3.5 goals
No resumption stats yet with the midweek games yet to take place.
Granada v Villarreal
Two of the last three meetings today in Granada ended level. In the last six head to head overall, Villarreal have won four with two draws and four of the six were Under 2.5 goals. On current form, Villarreal will win 1-0, so the best play here is to trade Under 2.5 goals at 1.66.
Granada 43% Over 2.5 goals 11% Over 3.5 goals
Villarreal 71% Over 2.5 goals 29% Over 3.5 goals
No resumption stats yet with the midweek games yet to take place.

Athletic Bilbao v Real Betis
Not a huge game for stats, this season Bilbao games are Under and Betis games Over so something will have to give. In eight recent head to head, four were Under, four were Over. The strongest stat on this fixture is that Bilbao have won the last four meetings today in Bilbao by 1-0, 2-0, 2-1 and 3-1. They held Atletico to a 1-1 draw on the first game back but 2.10 on a side that had been poor for most of the season, is shocking value. Betis did not really threat against Sevilla, and they have not won in seven away. The trading option here is to trade 0-0 and 1-1 in the correct score market, looking for a green book.
Athletic Bilbao 25% Over 2.5 goals 7% Over 3.5 goals
Real Betis 64% Over 2.5 goals 29% Over 3.5 goals
No resumption stats yet as the midweek games are yet to take place.
Getafe v Eibar
Eibar are slipping rapidly into the relegation zone and must take something here. There have been nine meetings today at this level, six of those ended Under 2.5 goals. Eibar’s hope here is that three of the last four meetings today in Getafe ended in a draw and all four were Under 2.5 goals. I am going to suggest a bit of a chancy trade here, Under 1.5 goals at 2.80 as a trading angle. Hopefully a quiet 25-30 minutes and you will have a profit.
Getafe 39% Over 2.5 goals 14% Over 3.5 goals
Eibar 57% Over 2.5 goals 21% Over 3.5 goals
No resumption stats yet as the midweek games are yet to take place.

Celta Vigo v Alaves
You can probably forget the Alaves result at Espanyol as all was going well until the goalkeeper was sent off in the first half which put them under pressure. In seven recent head to head, five were Under 2.5 goals and the last three in Vigo ended 0-1, 1-0 and 1-0. Both sides draw a lot of games and everything here points to a tight low scoring contest. As expected, the bookies have factored that in with short prices on all those markets. Alaves are a touch big at 4.33 and I think they can avoid defeat so a Lay of Celta at 1.95 is the trading choice.
Celta Vigo 32% Over 2.5 goals 25% Over 3.5 goals
Alaves 39% Over 2.5 goals 11% Over 3.5 goals
No resumption stats yet with the weekend games yet to take place.
Real Sociedad v Real Madrid
Probably the most disappointing performance on the resumption was Sociedad failing to beat Osasuna, coming from behind to grab a point. I remain convinced that they are a useful outfit, but this is a tough test. In six of the last eight head to head the games ended Over 2.5 goals. At Sociedad, the last four games ended 3-1, 1-3, 0-3 and 0-1 so Madrid have a good record here. They started off well beating Eibar 3-1 fairly comfortably. There have been no draws in the last twelve head to head. Backing Real Madrid at odds on away from home when they lost their last two away before the break is not the way to go, even though it is probable that they will win. I would rather chance a small bet on Real Madrid to win and Over 2.5 goals at 2.40.
Real Sociedad 64% Over 2.5 goals 25% Over 3.5 goals
Real Madrid 50% Over 2.5 goals 36% Over 3.5 goals
No resumption stats yet with the weekend games yet to take place.
