La Liga continues this weekend and, as always, we’ve got the best of the action covered.
Saturday 13th April 2019
Atletico Madrid v Celta Vigo
Atletico now need to concentrate on second place following their defeat at Barcelona last week but face a back in form Celta side who have won two and drawn one of their last three. Atleti don’t do draws, none in their last thirteen games and will go for the win but Celta might play for a draw as they have lost on five of their last six visits. Chance a small Lay on Atletico at 1.40 with a view to trading.
Sevilla v Real Betis
The “Seville Derby” and no quarter will be given with both coming here on the back of victories. This used to be a really fiery affair with seven consecutive “derbies” seeing a red card before a break of six games without a sending off until last year’s red card for Roque Mesa. With such a lot on this fixture with regards to European qualification, a red card is a real player here for a small stake. Betis won here last year by 5-3 but had lost on their previous four league visits with Betis scoring in just one of those four games. Sevilla have won four of their last five, but Betis continue with their inconsistent form and in their last eight matches, they have won three lost three and drawn two. Sevilla are the obvious play here, but Betis owe their fans a big performance and I think they could be worth chancing here at 4.30 or if you are a little more risk averse, consider Laying Sevilla at around 1.75. If Betis do lead, consider laying for your stake back or green up all across the board.

Valladolid v Getafe
A fascinating if not exciting match-up with Getafe clinging on to fourth place and a Champions League spot and the hosts looking to maintain their current place in La Liga. At first thoughts a 0-0 draw looks most likely especially as the last two head to head ended that way. Getafe have drawn ten of sixteen away this season but really need three points here as do the home side who have lost six of their last eight. Many will consider Getafe value at 2.50 but for a side that averages a goal a game away from home, it is a big risk at the price. They may well win, but I would prefer to trade correct scores around 0-0 and 0-1.
Valencia v Levante
Another local derby that should be competitive with Valencia pushing for a European spot and Levante still facing a relegation fight. In the last twelve head to head, there have been no away wins and adding that to current form, it looks that the best Levante can hope for is a draw and they have managed three in their last four fixtures. Valencia had been unbeaten in twelve before a blip last week at Vallecano, but they should get back on track here. In the hope that it is a tight game early on, Unders at 2.50 could be a trading option.
Athletic Bilbao v Rayo Vallecano
Rayo have a real fight on their hands if they are to stay up and their win at home to Valencia last week should give them a big lift. The problem we have here is that they are shocking away from home losing eleven of fifteen so far this season. Bilbao are very strong at home losing just two of sixteen and are unbeaten in their last eleven at San Mames. Bilbao have won their three recent head to head at home to Vallecano so try 1-0 and 2-0 correct scores as a trading option.
