Friday 1st March 2019
Leeds v West Brom
West Brom won the only recent meeting at this level by 4-1 in November and both sides are serious challengers for this season’s title. I can see this being really tight and a draw looks the obvious call so try trading correct scores at 1-1 and 2-2 for a green book.
Saturday 2nd March 2019
Aston Villa v Derby
Which one of these two wants to not win the most? A strange analogy maybe but Villa have drawn fifteen times so far this season and Derby five times in their last eleven matches. On the head to head, there have been five recent meetings today with two draws, two Villa wins and one win for Derby. This is tough to call with no doubts that either side are capable of winning if they are in the mood. Villa to win at 2.10 with a trade to take your stake back if they lead.
Brentford v QPR
QPR have lost seven on the bounce so will not relish going to a ground where they have lost on their last three visits. Five of the last six head to head have gone Over 2.5 goals. Brentford have lost one of their last ten and thumped Hull 5-1 at the weekend and 1.73 looks more than fair for them to win.
Ipswich v Reading
This is a real six-pointer with Ipswich in danger of becoming adrift at the bottom and Reading desperately needing three points to move away from the bottom three. In seven recent head to head, six were Over 2.5 goals with the games at Ipswich ending 2-0, 2-2 and 2-1. Ipswich have won one in eleven but have drawn their last three, whilst Reading have lost just two in eight, drawing four. This game has draw written all over it but that is no good for Ipswich so at 2.80 to win, with a view to trading if they lead might be the way to go.
Millwall v Norwich
Millwall are too inconsistent but are better at home than on the road. Norwich are top of the league and despite conceding goals they just go up the other end and score more, averaging two goals a game. The last six head to were all Over 2.5 goals with four of them Over 3.5 goals. Try Over 3.5 goals at 3.40.
Preston v Bristol City
Two in form teams, but this is a fixture that Preston love having won the last six head to head. They are on an eight-match unbeaten run and take on a Bristol side who lost at Norwich having previously gone thirteen games unbeaten. Preston to win at 2.30.
Wigan v Middlesbrough
Five recent meetings today in this league have seen two wins for Middlesbrough and three draws, the two games in Wigan ended 1-1 and 2-2. Wigan are unbeaten in four, drawing the last three and Boro have lost one in nine, winning five. Both Teams To Score at 2.05.
Monday 4th March 2019
Sheff Wed v Sheff Utd
These two cancelled each other out at Bramall Lane in November and both failed to find the net as had happened in their previous meeting last January. The only other recent meeting at this level was when Utd won 4-2 at Hillsborough at the start of last season. Both sides are in reasonable form, both unbeaten in six but United had the tougher recent games and currently sit second in the table. Wednesday have been much better under new manager Steve Bruce, but this is a big test so Sheff Utd to win at 2.00.
