Aston Villa v Bristol City
A “six-pointer” in the race for the play-offs with both in great current form but Villa’s home form is as strong as any in the league at present. The two recent head to head at Villa Park ended 5-0 and 2-0 and Villa managed two 1-1 draws at Ashton Gate. Villa to win and Over 2.5 goals at 2.88 seems a fair way to go especially with Jack Grealish back and playing at the top of his form.
Derby v Bolton
Derby threw the lead away three times last week at Brentford and their defence looks nervous in their quest for a play-off place. Bolton are poor and are likely to be relegated, but they have a chance here if they can stay in the game and did beat Derby by 1-0 back in September. Derby have won the last three head to head at Pride Park by 3-0, 4-1 and 4-1 and a result like that would do wonders for their confidence but I have a nagging doubt and a Lay of the home side at 1.44 with a view to trading looks a decent option.
Ipswich v Birmingham
Ipswich are staging a late rally in their bid to avoid relegation, but Birmingham also need the points after their deduction for irregularities. This fixture is usually, the last three meetings today at Portman Road ended 1-0, 1-1 and 1-1 and I don’t see this being any different with the correct score trading option around 1-1 and 0-1 appealing most.
Sheffield Utd v Millwall
Sheff Utd need three points as they now cannot afford to slip up as they fight out for the second automatic promotion place with Leeds. Millwall need points as they battle relegation and had a fine victory over West Brom, but away from home, they have struggled with just three wins. Sheff Utd are a fair price at 1.67 but I think Millwall will push them and Over 2.5 goals makes more appeal at 1.91.
West Brom v Preston
Another match where both still need the points in their push for the play-offs and both in form sides have suffered a blip in the last two weeks. Perhaps the pressure is getting to them both and with only one recent meeting between the two, which West Brom won 3-2 away, it is best to keep it simple and play Overs at 1.80 with a view to trading if we get a couple of early goals.
Leeds v Sheff Wed
A “Yorkshire” derby with a lot at stake, Leeds in their push for second place and Wednesday have an outside chance of reaching the play-offs. Wednesday won this fixture by 2-1 last season and the sides played a 1-1 draw back in September and with Leeds looking a little shaky in recent games, a Wednesday win at 5.50 could be worth chancing with a view to trading.

Wigan v Norwich
Norwich are priced up at 1.91 and although backing odds on shots away from home is not the usual way to go, this still looks a touch of value, as they close in on the title. It looks like the bookies have clearly factored in Wigan’s need for points and the last time the two met at Wigan it ended 2-2. For those looking for a touch more value, Norwich to win and both teams to score is available at 3.60.
Note: Odds are subject to change.
