Midweek Bundesliga Stats
Just a few brief pointers for the last round of Bundesliga games before their winter break, their season will resume on 20th January. Many of the German sides go away for warm weather training and play friendly fixtures to keep themselves active so keep an eye on those results.
Tuesday
Borussia Dortmund v Augsburg
In the last ten head to head eight have gone Over 3.5 goals and 57% of Dortmund home games and 43% of Augsburg away games this season have gone Over 2.5 goals.
Borussia M’gladbach v Wolfsburg
In the last twelve head to head there have been no away wins, with nine homes and three draws. Tough for the visitors.
Hamburg v Schalke
Schalke have the upper hand in this fixture with six wins and two draws in the last ten meetings today. Neither are in great form and a draw looks a real player.
Frankfurt v Mainz
In the last fourteen meetings today between these two there has been only one away win. Frankfurt are unbeaten at home this season, Mainz have not won in their last five away and could struggle here.
Wednesday
Bayern Munich v R Leipzig
The first meeting of the two who sit first and second. Impossible to predict as both are in top form but Bayern don’t lose many at home, only once in the last two seasons.
Koln v Bayer Leverkusen
A local derby that may become feisty and there were red cards in both last season’s fixtures. Koln have won four and drawn three at home, Leverkusen won three and lost four away. In the last six meetings today between them in Koln, Leverkusen have won four times with one draw. The visitors might be worth chancing.
Hertha Berlin v Darmstadt
Darmstadt are awful on the road and have lost all seven this season. Hertha have won six and lost once at home. Hertha should be too strong.
Ingolstadt v Freiburg
The two have not met at this level and although Freiburg are probably the better side, Ingolstadt seem to be improving and could nick this.
Hoffenheim v Werder Bremen
Hoffenheim are the only unbeaten side left in the Bundesliga as they have won six and drawn nine so far. Werder have won just once away from home and will no doubt set up for a point. The head to head shows that in the last ten meetings today, seven were Over 2.5 goals and five ended in draws. Another draw for Hoffenheim?
