Another huge weekend ahead in the German Bundesliga – we take a look at the best of the action from a trading angle.
One thing to remember is that this is a trading website and if you can trade out for a decent profit at any time then that is what we advise. If we get two early goals and we have done Over 2.5 goals and we can take a nice profit then that is an angle.
With two weeks left in the German season, there is still a lot to play for. Apart from a few sides in mid-table the only things settled are that Bayern are champions and Koln are relegated and by coincidence they meet this week. We need to concentrate on three fixtures that give us a chance to make a profit. Although there is no Champions League advantage to finishing second, as all four qualifiers now go straight to the group stage, and the breakdown in prizemoney does not vary much, it is still prestigious to finish second and both Dortmund and Schalke will be going all out for that position. The fourth Champions League place is up for grabs between Hoffenheim and Leverkusen with the latter having the slightly easier final two games.

Augsburg v Schalke
Schalke need to take the three points here as they have a tough fixture at home to Frankfurt on the final weekend. They have slightly stuttered in the last fortnight with two draws since their vital win against Dortmund. Augsburg are playing purely for pride and have lost just one of their last five which included three draws. The first goal is vital here, and if Schalke grab it, they should go on to win. I think that 2.10 is a fair price so let’s hope they go for it. One word of caution for those of you who prefer a little more security, four of the last six meetings today in Augsburg have ended in draws, you may prefer to Lay Augsburg instead.
Stuttgart v Hoffenheim
Hoffenheim must go all out here as their final game is against Dortmund but they meet a Stuttgart side who are in similar form to themselves. Both sides have lost just once in their last twelve games and Stuttgart still have a chance of Europa League football next season. The bookmakers quotes of Evs (2.00) about Hoffenheim winning such a tough fixture do not appeal at all so we need to look for a different angle. Stuttgart are a solid unit and they have drawn three of their last four at home. Hoffenheim will have to be at their best to break them down but they are the second top scorers in the league. There is no pattern to recent head to head meetings today in Stuttgart either with three home wins, two away wins and a draw in the last six. It is almost a given that Hoffenheim will score as they have done so in their last seventeen matches but I think the home side will too. Stuttgart are half tempting at 3.50 but I ‘m going to chance a couple of small staking correct scores with a view to trading, 2-2 at 11/1 and 2-3 at 20/1.
Werder Bremen v Leverkusen
Leverkusen have slipped up at the wrong time losing their last two and putting their chances of Champions League football in doubt. They have two winnable games left but probably cannot afford to slip up here. Once again however, I cannot be tempted by the odds on quotes for Leverkusen, yes they should win but that is shocking value. Both teams to score and Over 2.5 goals have also had the Leverkusen “need to win” factor included in the price so we need to look elsewhere. Looking at the stats on goal times for Bremen at home and Leverkusen away, there is a clear inclination towards second half goals and that may have thrown up a bit of value, particularly if Leverkusen are chasing the game. There is a little bit of Evs (2.00) about or 20/21(1.95) and that may be the way to go.
