We have had some strange games in the first week of the Bundesliga and because of that we will keep it simple until things settle down a little. Bayern looked good against Hoffenheim, who scored as we predicted and Dortmund also looked strong in coming from behind to outplay Leipzig.
Saturday 1st September 2018
Hoffenheim v Freiburg
As we are trying to keep it simple, both teams have scored in the last ten meetings today so that looks the obvious place to start but that is only available at 1.66 and with six of the ten going Over 2.5 goals only available at 1.61 we need to look elsewhere. One quite strong stat is that six of those ten games ended in draws and four of the last six in Hoffenheim, so backing the draw at 4.00 is one trading option with a view to trading out at some point. For those who like taking a little more risk, the home team are short enough to be laid at 1.57.
Leverkusen v Wolfsburg
A game where Leverkusen will be a banker for many at around 1.61 but two very strong stats in this fixture. In the last ten meetings today, both teams have scored in nine of them but all ten saw Over 2.5 goals which is short also at 1.57 but probably most likely if you must play.
Frankfurt v Bremen
Three stats to look at in deciding how to trade the game here. Five of the last six meetings today have gone Over 2.5 goals and that is available at 1.83 with six of the last eight seeing both teams score at 1.66. Perhaps the best value is Over 2.5 goals but Bremen have not won in their last eight trips to Frankfurt so you could consider trading by Laying the away side.
Augsburg v Borussia M’gladbach
Both had decent wins to start the season and this has the makings of a good game and I can see goals and Over 2.5 goals is a fair 1.91. Both teams to score is also a fair price at 1.66 and that appeals as the most likely trade with a small stake on 2-2 correct score at 13.00 as three of the last six meetings today in Augsburg have ended like that.
Sunday 2nd September 2018
Schalke v Hertha Berlin
Schalke struggled last week after being reduced to ten men and it looked like they had secured a point with a late equaliser only to concede in injury time. They will need to improve hugely on that performance but have been strong at home in recent seasons and have won the last seven meetings today between these two in Gelsenkirchen. The last five head to head have all been Under 2.5 goals and Schalke had eleven from seventeen home games last season Under 2.5 goals. The last seven meetings today of the two with Schalke at home have seen the visitors score just once and four of them ended 2-0. It seems silly to complicate things, Schalke should win but Hertha will be no pushover although 1.80 about the home side will tempt many in and should be profitable although it may pay to be a bit more speculative and try Schalke to win to nil at 2.60. The correct score of 2-0 is 8.00 with unders at 1.61 if you prefer that option. I prefer the win to nil option.
