The only thing to settle on the last day are the title, and European places, with relegation all done and dusted.
Saturday 18th May 2019
Bayern Munich v Frankfurt
A draw would be enough for Bayern and probably enough for Frankfurt to take a Europa League place, however Frankfurt still have an outside chance of Champions League football next season if they could win and Gladbach and Leverkusen draw or lose. Beating Bayern, who are going for the title, is a mighty task and Frankfurt could miss out completely, so need to take care. This is a game to trade in running dependent on what is happening elsewhere, and it is impossible for me to predict that. If we are well into the second half, and it looks like Bayern have the title and Frankfurt need a point, it could well end level.
Moenchengladbach v Dortmund
This game is even more complicated than the Bayern game as if Gladbach win, they may get Champions League football as long as Leverkusen do not win by more goals than them. The problem is that Dortmund have to win in case Bayern slip up. Dortmund have won the last seven meetings today including the last three in Moenchengladbach. With goal difference possibly being important, Gladbach may try and negate Dortmund and this could be Unders, especially if Bayern are well on top. Try Under 2.5 goals at 3.60 with a view to trading.
Hertha Berlin v Leverkusen
The last three head to head in Berlin has seen two home wins and a convincing 6-2 away win for Leverkusen. Leverkusen are 1.44 away from home which is fraught with danger, but they are probably in prime position for fourth place so shouldn’t slip up. I would prefer to take the 2.10 that they can give up -1 on the handicap.
Wolfsburg v Augsburg
Wolfsburg must win but haven’t beaten Augsburg at home in the last three attempts. On current form, Wolfsburg have been strong at home so have to be favourites but 1.40 is very short so I would leave alone. If you must play, try 2-1 and 3-1 as correct score trades.
Mainz v Hoffenheim
Hoffenheim need more than one miracle but must make sure they win. They have blown it in recent games so that is no certainty, but Mainz have little to play for except pride. I would be tempted with a small Lay of Hoffenheim at 1.66 for trading.
