Nice to land a decent priced winner last week with the correct score Leverkusen 3-0 at 10/1 which should hopefully have ensured a nice profit. Right, onto this weekend’s action………………

Schalke v Leverkusen
Neither of these sides has yet really hit form but both have shown glimpses of how good they can be and will both surely finish top half of the table. Schalke at home should have too much for a Leverkusen side who have lost all three away. Schalke have won three and lost three, including the last two to Hoffenheim and Bayern but can get back on track here with three points. For a betting/trading angle I prefer to look at goals, all six Leverkusen games have gone Over 2.5 goals with four Over 3.5 goals. Schalke games have not been so free scoring with just three Over 2.5 goals but I can see them opening up this Leverkusen defence. Over 2.5 goals is 1.73 (8/11) and I will also add a smaller stake on Over 3.5 goals at 3.00 (2/1) and hope for a cracker.

Frankfurt v Stuttgart
A game made for goals which will probably end 0-0. These two regularly serve up goals and in the last ten head to head at this level, eight have been Over 2.5 goals. In the last four meetings today there have been 6, 5, 4 and 9 goals respectively with Stuttgart winning 5-4 away in the 2014/2015 season. The one big downside to doing goals here is current form and in the twelve games the two have contested this season, only three have gone Over 2.5 goals making this match more of a candidate for Unders. It is always difficult to choose between current stats and past ones as many feel it is irrelevant what happened three years ago. To a degree that is correct, but why do many sides struggle at certain grounds for years, even with different players. It is often the media that get these negative thoughts into player’s heads. Over 2.5 goals is available at 2.00 (Evs) and that has to be worth at least a half stake as both of these sides will see this as a chance for three points.
Borussia M’gladbach v Hannover
Just a quick statistic on this game mainly due to the current great form of Hannover. Gladbach have won the last five head to head at home but Hannover are unbeaten this season and the home side got thumped 6-1 by Dortmund last week and will have that in the back of their minds. The main stat here is no draw in the last eighteen meetings today so that gives the best option here in Lay The Draw. Don’t forget, a lot of traders trade out once a goal is scored for a green book using Racing Traders Software, some trade for their stake back leaving the profit on the draw and some let it ride. The choice has to be yours.
Augsburg v Dortmund
Augsburg in fifth, take on the unbeaten leaders having lost just once this season themselves. Both meetings today last season ended 1-1 and there may not be a lot between them again. Augsburg have looked good so far but have beaten Dortmund only once in twelve tries and with the away side in top form last weekend it is difficult to go against them. Perhaps the midweek defeat to Real Madrid will play on their minds so a Lay of Augsburg would have been a possibility but not at 6.00 (5/1). I wouldn’t put anyone off a small Lay on Dortmund as this game could well end level.
Wolfsburg v Mainz
Four of the last five meetings today have ended in draws and all five were Under 2.5 goals so a tight negative game looks on the cards. Try trading around 0-0 and 1-1 in the correct score market for a green book.
Sunday 1st October 2017
Freiburg v Hoffenheim
A banker away win for many here but I’m not hugely keen in taking short prices about away sides even though Hoffenheim should prove too strong for a Freiburg side that have yet to win but have managed four draws from six games. More worrying is that they have scored only twice and are clearly suffering in creating chances. Hoffenheim have yet to lose but have a Europa League game away in Bulgaria in midweek which may take the edge off them. I couldn’t put you off betting the away side but be aware that five of the last six head to head have ended level, all three in Freiburg 1-1, and that is an alarming stat if you are taking a short price on the away side.
