Spread Betting spreadsheet.
If you would like to see how dangerous or profitable spread bets can be, this sheet will give you a good demonstration.
The sheets show a range of spread prices with accompanying profit or loss.
This spreadsheet is NOT intended for use with sign-up offers – the equivalent of a free bet, but is intended for “Normal” spread bet trades.
Download a spreadsheet for “Normal” spread bet trading Spread
The file has 2 spreadsheets “Buy First” and “Sell First”, accessed via tabs at the bottom of your Excel screen.
Instructions for inputs are on the sheets.
The sheets can be used to see what would happen to your trade if the Buy or Sell price moves in your favour or against you.
Inputs allow any per point increment and any unit stake per increment to be monitored.
An additional input allows for additional expenses such as Stop Loss charges or other costs.
Use this sheet to make your trades or to simulate what would happen if paper trading in any market – Sports, FTSE, Commodities, etc.

sporting index £300 free bet
by crooky » Sat Feb 06, 2010 2:29 pm
Can somebody tell me how I work out how to place the 5 qualifying bets so I can get the £300 free bet.
And then could you go through the maths of using that. Dont want to loose my hard earned thats all.
Cheers
by Darren » Sat Feb 06, 2010 7:58 pm
The key is to have a second spread account elsewhere and then match the bets off between the two accounts i.e. buy at one, sell at the other. Quite possible to get zero loss matches i.e. the buy price at one equals the sell at the other but even if not the differences will be minimal so can net the free bet for very little loss.

I under stand about matching to qualify for the spreadbet but I dont understand how to get the get the free bet out. I found this for use on the qualifying bets
http://www.money-for-old-rope.co.uk/BTSpread.xls
Can somebody please try and work out how to use the free bets as I dont have a clue! There is a lot of extra cash to be made from using these bonuses.

Crooky, there is a spreadsheet which does the job, not the one you refer to.
I’ve tried uploading it without success, but it might be elsewhere on the site, hopefully Darren can clarify. If it’s not, it will be soon, so carry on if you are happy with the qualifying part of it, and rest assured we can show you how to do the cash out bit.

Cheers alex look forward to seeing it. Nearly finished the qualfying bets so can’t wait to cash out this £300!
by Darren » Mon Feb 08, 2010 5:00 pm
Here’s the one you need:
qualifyingspreads
Enter the spreads on offer and the risk amount (£20) and follow the calculations. One thing to recommend is to always round up the amount shown, so if for £20 risk on the spread, it gives £9.21 then round up to £10, common sense as always!

It is possible to lock in some good profits if BUY a team on the WIN INDEX (25-10-0) market at SportingIndex and then back the draw and other team on Betfair.
The real beauty of this offer are the word NET PROFIT in the terms, as this means if you don’t hit the £150 mark you can keep on betting until you do, could be very lucrative if you don’t hit a winner at SI for a while.
Here is a spreadsheet to do all the hard work sportingindexdoubleprofits (just enter into the light blue boxes till you seen the profits on the right to make you smile!)
Tottenham v Wigan can lock in almost £80 in profit!
BUY Tottenham with £25 at 19 at SI
BACK Draw at Betfair with £121.39 at 4.5 (assuming 5%)
BACK Wigan at Betfair with £98.85 at 8.2 (assuming 5%)
Tottenham win – you win £150 doubled to £300, but lose £121.29 (draw) and £98.85 (Wigan) at BF for £79.76 profit
Draw – you lose £225 at SI, Win £403.62 on the Draw Bet at BF but lose £98.85 (Wigan) at BF for £79.77 profit
Wigan win – you lose £475 at SI and £121.29 (draw) at BF but win £676.13 on the Wigan BACK bet at Betfair for £79.74 profit
So loads of potential with this, just play around with the figures in the sheet.
Mrs Bet72 got this too, happy days, just note:
So if the bet wins at SI you will be down until the 7th when the credit is made, so you may want to wait nearer that date.

I also got this mail from Sporting Index. I will have a look at the spreadsheet you suggested, but aren’t you best just looking for ‘100%ers’ , matching the buy and sell with extrabet, and just keeping going until you reach the maximum profits with sporting index?
Thanks
Barrie
by Darren » Mon Nov 23, 2009 4:48 pm
Yeah you could do that Barrie. I suppose the only down side is if you go on a run of losers at SI you are not making anything but yes you could look to do that.
by ljones85 » Mon Nov 23, 2009 8:26 pm
You have locked the £150 box, but this should surely be left blank until you can see the profit for the SI win, then double that figure. For example if the win is £100 then you are not getting £150 bonus, you are getting £100. Also, you can’t keep going surely because if you then go again to make the remaining £50 and you lose, the net profit is lower so you will lose out.
If you lose £100 on SI for example, and then win £100 on SI, your doubled amount is £0. So therefore you can’t lock in a profit. Have I got that completely wrong?
by Darren » Tue Nov 24, 2009 3:45 pm
Sorry not sure what you mean in our earlier example, Tottenham v Wigan, you can lock in almost £80 in profit!
BUY Tottenham with £25 at 19 at SI
BACK Draw at Betfair with £121.39 at 4.5 (assuming 5%)
BACK Wigan at Betfair with £98.85 at 8.2 (assuming 5%)
Tottenham won (just scrapped home as I remember) so this has been done to the max as the you have made £150 at SI ((25 -19) * 25) = £150, as the win index is 25-10-0
Say Defoe had been abducted by aliens at halftime and the match had been a draw, then you would be £225 down at SI (but £79.77 overall after the Betfair bets) in effect you now have to make £375 to give £150 net profit, so aim for that next time etc…etc….
by ljones85 » Tue Nov 24, 2009 7:10 pm
Got it! thanks Darren
by barriec » Sat Nov 28, 2009 1:27 pm
Can anyone offer an example on how this can be cashed out on a game this weekend. I want to make sure on this one before I commit myself !!
Thanks
Barrie
by mikeymp » Tue Dec 01, 2009 12:21 am
Me too , as we’re in december now and s i are paying out on the 7th will tackle this one midweek quite a few games to choose from , what do you reckon Darren?
by Darren » Tue Dec 01, 2009 4:21 pm
Samporia v Livorno, tonight at 7:30PM can lock in over £90 in profit!
BUY Sampordia with £21.43 at 15 at SI
BACK Draw at Betfair with £116.69 at 4.2 (assuming 5%)
BACK Livorno at Betfair with £91.92 at 7.8 (assuming 5%)
Sampordia win – you win £150 doubled to £300, but lose £116.69 (draw) and £91.92 (Livorno) at BF for £91.40 profit
Draw – you lose £171.44 at SI, Win £354.74 on the Draw Bet at BF but lose £91.92 (Livorno) at BF for £91.38 profit
Livorno win – you lose £385 at SI and £116.69 (draw) at BF but win £593.80 on the Livorno BACK bet at Betfair for £91.37 profit
by barriec » Tue Dec 01, 2009 7:15 pm
Thanks for this information Darren, however it looks as though the odds have changed somewhat as of 19:00-
Sampdoria buy on SI is now 18.5
Livorno to back on Betfair is now 7.0
The draw to back on Betfair is now 3.85
This has obviously had an effect on the potential winnings. Sorry to be a pain is there anyway you could have a look at one for Wednesday, or alternatively explain what we are looking for with regards to a price match between SI and Betfair
Thanks
Barrie

Would be good as i missed this one due to working until 8pm
by mikestodds » Wed Dec 02, 2009 9:55 am
Yeah anything for tonight or weekend would be good.
by Darren » Wed Dec 02, 2009 4:18 pm
Yes that is the problem, the odds are gonna change by the time I post and people read.
So we are looking to BUY a team on the WIN INDEX (25-10-0) market at SportingIndex and then back the draw and other team on Betfair.
Here is a spreadsheet to do all the hard work sportingindexdoubleprofits (just enter into the light blue boxes till you seen the profits on the right to make you smile, £75+ is good).
Hope this helps guys.
