It is technically possible using the Betdaq API to place a bet with an expiry time of now plus “less than the in running delay”. Betdaq have this queue jumping trick.
Currently during in running your bets will be placed with a delay if there are bets in the market to match you or else your bets will be placed immediately with no delay. This will be confusing to people moving over from Betfair. This allows a bot that is currently being run in certain markets during in running Betdaq matches to compare the price you offer versus the prices in Betfair and checks if it can offer a slightly better price than you yet lower than Betfair’s. There may be many bots appearing soon on Betdaq because bets can be immediately placed during in running at certain prices.
There is also currently no keep bets facility on Betdaq for manual players. You have to re submit your bets when the race is turned in-play. But you can perform a Betfair type ‘keep bet’ if you use the API. Interestingly, you can use expiry time as well, so if you use the API you can keep a bet for the first 30 seconds of the race.
Liquidity on in running for most markets isn’t great right now, but Betdaq’s matching delay for non bot clients isn’t helping much. I’ll do my little bit to help shortly. A bot? Of course!
On a final note you can now see the liquidity increasing pre race in the example above. Great news.
Ladies and gents, have a great day and good luck to you, as always.
Can’t say I have used it but according to the banner on the home page on Betdaq keep bets are available – just a heads up.
Hello mate, thanks for that. Got it wrong again. Doh!!!!
Hi MOM, really enjoying the blog again. I had a quick look at bet bot pro but I could not see how I could load my own selections. I really like the recovery option.
I am about to add betdaq to my autobet so it takes the best price offerred regardless of the exchange. Good to see betdqa liquidity is slowing getting there.
Hello mate, thanks and great to see you here again.
On BetbotPro tick UK racing then load races. Then go through each race where you have an interest, single click, the right panel under options then changes with all the runners in that race. Tick the ones you want. Move your mouse over options and it goes back.
Of note though is that they all have to be back or lay bets as decided in the top two right corner.
I’ve been following Autobet with interest Brian. Good you’ve got the Betdaq option. Fancy being a guest on WUBT next month and telling us all about it?
Hi MOM
At the time I’am using Betbotpro for betfair. But I would also like to bet on Betdaq, Do you know if the is any programs like Betbotpro for Betdaq?
Morten
The Betbotpro team are developing a betdaq version as we speak so watch this space. Also MOM has posted about alternatives that are working with BetDaq here:
Bet Angel for BetDaq
and
BetDaq Software for free
Lee
Hi Morten, great to see you again. Mark is developing a Betdaq version as I write so watch this space. They are not to far away now from finishing it.
The GreyHorse Bot is similar in some respects. Take a look and see what you think. A full review is coming soon.
Good luck mate.
🙂 Lee beat me to it. 🙂 BTW Bet Angel that Lee refers to will do exactly what you want through Excel triggered betting if you have any knowledge of Excel. That’s how my first bot, RonBot, operated.
