VCBET – £50 Refund – France v Ireland

by Darren » Tue Nov 17, 2009 4:59 pm

Nice little offer from VCBet for everyone, can currently lock in just under £4 in profit but this may increase as the game gets closer.

Luck of the Irish! – World Cup Qualifying Play-OffFrance v Republic of Ireland, Wednesday, 8pm, live on Sky Sports 1If Ireland score at ANYTIME in the match we’ll refund all losing Correct Score and 1st Goalscorer bets as a free bet!

Maximum refund £50/€50 per person. Applies to singles only placed prior to kick-off. Internet and telephone bets only. Free bets credited within 24 hours.

Basically we need to BACK and LAY a scoreline where Ireland don’t score i.e. anything x-0 and then BACK France to keep a clean sheet to lock in our profit.

For example…..

BACK France 1-0 £50 @ 5 @ VCBet

LAY France 1-0 £38.17 @ 6.6 @ Betfair

This gives a £13.74 loss whatever

Now BACK France Clean Sheet YES at BF with £22.60 at 1.82

Outcomes:

If Ireland score then:

Lose £22.60 at Betfair

Gain VC Refund Stake £50, expected value of £40 as a Stake Not Returned freebie

Outcome = £40 – £22.60 = £17.40 – 13.74 from initial Correct Score loss = £3.60 profit

Ireland don’t score:

Gain BETFAIR profit = £22.60 @ 1.82 – 5% = £17.60 – 13.74 CS loss = £3.86 profit

No refund at VCBET

Outcome = £3.86 profit

Backed 1-0 France £50 at VC @ 6.0 and layed at betfair @ 6.6 for a £6.48 loss.

Backed Clean Sheet France £21.37 at Betfair @ 1.92 for a profit of £18.70 if Ireland don’t score.

Overall:

Ireland score: +£40 VC – £21.37 – £6.48 = +£12.15 profit

Ireland don’t score: +£18.70 Betfair – £6.48 = £12.21 profit

Easy money

Nice! That was a good spot to get 1-0 France at 6 back to 5 now and still 6.6 on BF.

Should have said too a few bookies will carry the CLEAN SHEET market so you may pick one of them up and avoid 5% at BF.

Betfred in a generous mood at Chester

Betfred Chester offer

by corner123 » Tue May 04, 2010 2:20 pm

This looks promising. I think Fred is having a blonde moment (or a bald one!)

5th-7th, May Festival

Have a bet in any race over the 3 days of the Chester May meeting, and if any horse drawn in stall one wins we will return the win part of all losing single bets in that particular race up to a maximum of £200.

The link to the T&Cs doesn’t work yet.

So all you need to do is to find a close match, then lay the horse in stall one as the if event.

(Or find an arb and watch stall 1 win to collect a big bonus- the vast majority of winners at Chester, particularly in the shorter races, come from stalls 1 and 2).

Remember this won’t work if you back the horse in stall 1 at Betfred!

by mikeymp » Tue May 04, 2010 11:52 pm

Nce offer , only t & c seems to be up to £200 and refund is a snr free bet

by corner123 » Wed May 05, 2010 7:09 am

This promotion concerns me a little because it really is too good to be true, if you read it literally. There is no link to the t&cs on the site. The horse in stall 1 is in the first 5 in the betting in all of the races today and fav in the 4.00. I would much prefer to see Fred say in the advert “max £200 per race or per customer per day. I think there is a real chance, knowing Fred, that we will see extra t&cs popping up like weeds during the day. My take on it would be to go at this one until you have a maximum of £200 from winners from stall 1, then stop for the day and see what happens tomorrow. Stick to one horse per race, otherwise you are asking for trouble.

Remember that you need to lay the horse in stall 1 (that’s the number in brackets at Betfair) if you are locking in a profit. The shorter the price of this horse and the closer the match on your horse at Betfred, the more you will make. Use my if offers spreadsheet to work out how much to lay on stall 1 for an equal profit either way:

Example:

Suppose in the 4.00 race Betfred have Averroes at 5.5 (they have no prices yet, this is just an example). The odds are around 6 at Betfair, although there is little liquidity, but 5.5/6 is about what you can expect – you may get much better, but I suspect Fred’s odds will be poor. Maxim Gorky (stall 1) is at around 3.25 at Betfair. If Fred allowed you £100 on this, the figures would be:

Back Averroes £100 at 5.5, lay £92.44 (at 5% com) for a loss of £12.18.

The spreadsheet then shows you that the stake needed to lay on Maxim Gorky at 3.25 for equal profit would be £28.99 and the return on the whole offer would be £15.35 profit.

Remember that this £15.35 profit represents a £100 refund at Betfred.

Spreadsheet here: matcherforifoffers

(the spreadsheet works out the figures as if it was an account credit or SR free bet – I’m not clever enough to do it for SNR, so remember that there will be some loss cashing out the free bet if stall 1 wins. That means laying a little less than the figure in the spredsheet if you want to take this into account.)

Thanks Corner. Yes once again the complete lack of T&C’s make this much more painful than it really needs to be.

Think I will get in on the close match ups that I can, and see what stakes I can get on. Just back and lay as normal on the best match up then divide the value refund by the LAY odds of the stall one horse to get the LAY amount (and adjust for commission).

For the calculations, just use the regular bet matching spreadsheet.

First off do you regular back / lay bet on the closest match.

Then enter 1 in the BACK Odds and actual LAY Odds for the stall one horse and put 80% of the stake used in the qualifying bet in the Free Bet To Use field. I would assume the free bet value to be 80%, as it is a free bet SNR and you should be able to get that at least cashing out on the horses.

From the first race……£22 profit if you can get the full £200 on!

BACK / LAY qualifier at 2.37 / 2.50 (Bathwick Bear)

LAY Stall One Horse at 3.95 (Primo Lady)

Spreadsheet is here if you need it. BET72_Matched_Betting

Re: Betfred World Cup match offers

Spain v Honduras

If Honduras can score a goal against Spain Betfred will refund losing stakes on First/Last Goalscorer, Correct Scores and Scorecast markets as a free bet.

by gusyonok » Mon Jun 21, 2010 7:32 am

This looks interesting. you can lay Spain clean sheet at 2.86, but also Spain to win to nil at 2.6. Of course you would then lose both ways if it were 0-0, but I’m willing to take that chance because 0-0 seems very unlikely. Honduras need a win to have any hope and Spain want to reestablish themselves as one of the favs

You could place a small bet on 0-0 in the correct score market as insurance just in case the unlikely happens!

by wellies67 » Mon Jun 21, 2010 10:44 am

Would this work?

Betfred correct score market back 1-0 7.0 lay at 1-0 7.2 at Betfair, lay Spain clean sheet 2.96 at Betfair, should Honduras score the back bet 1-0 at Betfred returned as free bet.

by Darren » Mon Jun 21, 2010 3:28 pm

Sounds good to me. Here it is in the IFOFFERS spreadsheet, have assumed 5% comm and 80% value for the refund as it is a free bet. Can’t get this prices now of course but will see if anything comes up before KO.

by frobus » Mon Jun 21, 2010 3:57 pm

Under ‘Bonus’ Max Refund should be £200, Darren, not £100, because your stake is £200.

by gusyonok » Mon Jun 21, 2010 4:13 pm

fred slashed his prices but still a bit to be made! I’m on 2-0 at 5/6.2 and laid Spain not to win to nil at 2.72

Good spot! That looks better.
