To convert fractional odds to decimal divide the first number by the 2nd and add 1, eg 11/4 = 11 divided by 4 + 1 = 3.75.
To convert decimal odds to fractions is not so easy, but subtract 1 from the decimal amount and you will learn to recognize the fractional part.
To convert US odds to decimals:
Odds against – Add 100 and divide by 100, eg 250 +100 divided by 100 = 3.5
Odds on – remove the minus sign, then divide 100 by US odds and add 1, eg 100 divided by 275 = 0.3636
To convert decimal odds to US odds:
Odds against – subtract 1 and multiply by 100, eg 5.0 becomes 400
Odds on – subtract 1 and divide 100 by the result then stick a minus in front of it, eg 100 divided by 0.2222 = 450 so 1.2222 becomes -450.
