Another huge Euro 2020 clash this Friday as England and Scotland face-off at Wembley.
After impressing in their opening game against Croatia with a 1-0 win, England have one foot in the knockout stages already. While, in contrast, the pressure is all on Scotland to get a win here after losing their opening game 2-0 to Czech Republic.
The sides have met a staggering 114 times before and surprisingly the honours are almost evenly split with England winning 48 and Scotland 41.
In more recent times though it’s been England that have held sway – having lost only one of their last 11 vs Scotland and winning 7 of the last 9.
The match betting sees England at 1.30, the Draw 5.25 and Scotland 10.00 – no shock really with 40 places between the pair on the FIFA World rankings.
They last met in 2017 and Scotland fans will gain some hope with that clash ending 2-2, but the Three Lions have scored 2+ goals in 7 of their last 8 vs Scotland, so it will be a brave man that says Scotland can keep a clean sheet here.
The last four head-to-heads went OVER 2.5 GOALS too, but with 4 of England’s last 5 games going the other way (Under 2.5 goals), then a word of caution is advised here.
Looking at the scoring markets, it’s no shock to see England’s Harry Kane at just 1.72 (anytime) or 3.50 (1st) – the Spurs hitman netted when the sides last played too. Raheem Sterling, who grabbed England’s goal against Croatia on Sunday is 6.50 (1st) or 2.75 (anytime), while Kalvin Phillips, who grabbed a lot of the headlines in the last England game is 21.00 (1st) or 8.50 (anytime).
In summary, it’s a game that based on current form England should have no issues winning. Scotland will, of course, be up for the game being geographical neighbours and a lot of history, but England are doing well not conceding at the moment, so the BOTH TEAMS NOT TO SCORE at 1.57 looks a solid option despite being odds on.
JUICESTORM VERDICT: BOTH TEAMS NOT TO SCORE @1.57
