Friday 29th November 2019
Celta Vigo v Valladolid
Only six recent head to head and five were Over 2.5 goals with the three games in Vigo finishing 3-3, 4-1 and 3-1. Celta ended a five-game losing run with a 3-1 win at Villarreal and that may give them a huge boost especially against Valladolid who have lost three of their last four. Celta will be popular at 1.80 but I think the 2.20 about Over 2.5 goals is better value.
Saturday 30th November 2019
Alaves v Real Madrid
Six recent head to head with five wins for Real and a single win for Alaves. Five of the six games were Over 2.5 goals. Alaves are strong at home and have won their last two games and have lost only to Sevilla at home this season. Real have lost only once all season, at Mallorca and look to keep tracks on Barcelona at the top of the table. This might be closer than the odds suggest and 1.80 about both teams to score might be worth chancing as Alaves have scored in their last eight games.
Mallorca v Real Betis
No recent head to head. Mallorca are strong at home unbeaten in their last four. Betis continue to frustrate but are a decent side on their day and did beat Valencia with a late winner last week. This is a horrible game to call, Betis are well capable of winning but have yet to win on the road. It might be worth chancing 1.95 for Over 2.5 goals with a view to trading out if two first half goals
Valencia v Villarreal
Local derby where Villarreal have won on three of their last four visits and six of the last eight meetings today have been Under 2.5 goals. Both lost last week however Valencia have been in much better form and they are unbeaten at home and I can’t believe the 2.30 will still be there on matchday, we can trade out if Valencia lead.
Sunday 1st December 2019
Sevilla v Leganes
Leganes won here by 3-0 last season and in the six recent head to head at this level, they have both won twice with two draws. Four of the six games were Over 2.5 goals and five of the six saw both teams score. Sevilla’s recent games have not had many goals, five of the last six were Under 2.5 goals, however the style of play of Leganes suggests goals so Over 2.5 goals at 1.91 might be the way to go.
Espanyol v Osasuna
Espanyol have won the two most relevant recent meetings today by 3-0 at home and 2-1 away. On form this season, Espanyol cannot win, no victories at home, and Osasuna draw away from home. It is difficult to envisage goals here so maybe a Lay of Espanyol as a trading option at 2.20 will pay dividends.
Getafe v Levante
Four recent meetings today at this level with all four Under 2.5 goals and two wins for Levante and two draws. Both Levante wins were in Getafe by 1-0. Levante have won three of their last four including beating Barcelona, Getafe are unbeaten in four and have lost one in seven. Expect a tight game so the 1.83 on Getafe has to be a Lay as a trading option with Levante’s good recent record here in our favour.
Atletico Madrid v Barcelona
A huge clash and one that has gone in Barcelona’s favour in recent seasons, the last six head to head in Madrid have seen three draws and three away wins, four of the six Under 2.5 goals. Barcelona have only won three of seven away games so far this season and Atletico are unbeaten at home with four wins and three draws. Both in strong form but I cannot see Barcelona losing so a small Lay of Atletico Madrid at 2.80 with a view to trading.
