Villarreal v Alaves
Six recent meetings today at this level and Alaves have won five of them, including the last three, two in Villarreal. Four of those wins were by 2-1 and five of the six ended Over 2.5 goals. Both won last week with Villarreal completing their fourth win in six games and Alaves their second in three matches. Alaves have yet to win away but this is a good venue for them so don’t write them off completely. At the prices, a small Lay of Villarreal at 1.60 is a trading option or Over 2.5 goals at 1.95 which might offer more trade out possibilities.

Atletico Madrid v Athletic Bilbao
Atletico have won the last four head to head in Madrid with three of the four Over 2.5 goals. Atletico have drawn four of their last five games, scoring only three and that is where their problem lies, as does Bilbao with just four goals in six games. Under 2.5 goals is well found at 1.50 so a small interest in Atletico to win to Nil at 2.38 might be a better option.
Valladolid v Eibar
Just two recent meetings today with this fixture ending 0-0 last season, and Valladolid winning 2-1 away from home in a remarkable game where they scored twice in injury time to take the points. Valladolid are unbeaten in four, three of them draws and take on Eibar whose four-match unbeaten run was ended by Barcelona. The 2.50 about Valladolid will be popular although I would advise trading for the stake back if they lead, as they have only scored six times in eight games.

Celta Vigo v Real Sociedad
A fixture where the results are evenly spread, the last ten fixture saw four wins for Celta, three for Sociedad and three draws. The last six head to head in Vigo have seen goals, five Over 3.5 goals and five saw both teams score. This is a horrible game to trade, but Over 2.5 goals at 1.91 offers a little bit of value as I can certainly see goals.
Granada v Real Betis
The three most recent meetings today in Granada ended 4-1, 1-1 and 1-0. An Andalusian “derby”, Granada have won their last three at home and Betis have been thumped in their last two away games, although it must be said, Betis often play well just when people have given up on them. On reflection, both teams to score at 1.73 might be the safest option as I could see any result here, despite the fact that Granada have been playing so well.
Sevilla v Getafe
Getafe have been a bit of a thorn in Sevilla’s side recently and have only lost one of the last five head to head, winning the last two. The four recent games in Sevilla ended 0-2, 1-1, 5-0 and 2-0. Sevilla have won their last two home games and Getafe have won their last two games and have lost just twice this season. I considered a Lay of Sevilla, but at 1.75 that is a bit too big so a small interest in Under 2.5 goals at 1.61 and trade out at half-time if 0-0.
Osasuna v Valencia
The five most recent meetings today have seen plenty of goals with four Over 2.5 goals and the two games last season ending 3-3 here and 4-1 in Valencia. In the last eight meetings today, Valencia have won five with three draws, so not a great fixture for the side from Pamplona although home advantage levels it a little with three of the last four head to head there ending in draws. Over 2.5 goals at 2.20 looks the best way to go here.
