Leeds v Derby
This will be fast and furious and has the potential to get a bit tasty following last seasons play-off matches. On current form it is a banker home win, but it is just possible that Leeds may try a little too hard and that could play into Derby’s hands. Leeds are short at 1.40, but often find a way to win as they did with two late goals at Barnsley and Derby have yet to click. If you must get involved, Leeds to win to Nil at 2.30 might be worth a go.
Birmingham v Preston
The four recent head to head in Birmingham all went Over 2.5 goals with one win apiece and two 2-2 draws. Preston have been impressive so far but have struggled on the road and Birmingham have been tough to beat at home. This has draw written all over it although Over 2.5 goals at 2.30 looks a better option.
Bristol City v Swansea
Just the two meetings today last season and Bristol City won both without conceding. This will have a feel of a Derby about it and it could become a tight encounter with perhaps one goal in it. Under 2.5 goals as a trading option at 2.00 is a reasonable trading angle
Cardiff v Middlesbrough
In the last eight head to head, there have been four wins apiece with no draws. The four meetings today in Cardiff, ended 1-0, 1-0, 0-1 and 1-0. Cardiff have drawn their last three games, and Boro are unbeaten in four. Is Cardiff’s home form stronger than Boro on the road? A tough one to call and it may be cat and mouse. This looks like another trading angle on Under 2.5 goals at 1.91 with a view to trading out for a green book.
Millwall v QPR
Four recent head to head that are relevant and there has been one win each and two draws, the games at Millwall ending 0-0 and 1-0. QPR have won their last three and Millwall are unbeaten at home this season. This could go either way, but we might get goals and Both Teams To Score at 1.83 is a decent angle in, rather than trying to pick a winner.
Sheff Wed v Fulham
Both have had an indifferent start to the season and in recent seasons there has not been more than a goal between them in seven meetings today. In Sheffield, the games have finished 0-1, 1-2, 3-2 and 1-1. Wednesday may well improve now under Garry Monk but there is still a lot of work to do and Fulham will be tough to beat. Not very original, but Both Teams To Score at 1.66 is about the best angle I can find.
Reading v Blackburn
Six of the last eight meetings today have ended Over 2.5 goals with both teams scoring in the last five head to head. Reading have won the last three meetings today at home. Sometimes you get a feeling about a game and I’m not sure their will be goals here although trading on hunches is not the way forward. It could be argued that on the stats, Reading are a little value at 2.50, but I could see any result here. Maybe the best angle in here is to Lay The Draw as a trading option.

West Brom v Huddersfield
No recent meetings today at this level with the most recent encounters being in the Premiership where Huddersfield won home and away. Huddersfield need to improve quickly and on recent evidence the new manager Danny Cowley has a huge rebuilding job on his hands with them having lost their last five. West Brom are unbeaten but have drawn four, however Huddersfield do not look good enough to get anything here. I’m looking to take a bit of a chance here especially after watching how poor Huddersfield were in front of goal last week. Try West Brom to win to Nil at 2.90.
