Leeds v Derby

A fixture with a lot of history and two sides playing well. Leeds gave Derby a footballing lesson at the start of the season with a 4-1 win at Pride Park and have continued in that vein throughout. Derby have been less consistent but are still challenging for promotion. They won at Leeds last season, but this fixture is usually tight with two Leeds wins and two draws in the last five head to head at Elland Road. The solid trade here is to play Over 2.5 goals as five of the last seven head to head have gone Over and both teams have recently been involved in games with goals. For those a little more adventurous, Over 3.5 goals with a view to trading is also worth considering.

Bristol City v Bolton

Bolton have a decent head to head record with Bristol City, which will be welcome following a poor season so far. They have won four and drawn two of the last eight meetings today but lost three of the last four in Bristol. Bolton have not won in eleven away games so on current form it has to be Bristol City to win as they are unbeaten in eight. At 1.50 it is a little short so chancing them to win to Nil at 2.50 is a better option with Bolton failing to score in four of their last five away.

Hull v Sheff Wed

Hull have improved hugely in recent weeks and have won their last five league games and are unbeaten in eight. Four of the last five head to head have ended level but Sheff Wed have won on two of their last three visits to Hull. On current form Hull at home should win, but Wednesday have drawn three of their last six games and that just adds a little doubt. I think a safer option might be to trade around 1-1 and 2-2 in the correct score markets with a view to greening up at some point.

Preston v Swansea

Swansea beat Preston at home earlier in the season by 1-0 and look to have become a little more settled in recent weeks, although they still throw in the odd bad performance. Preston are really difficult to get an angle on, they had an awful start to the season then found their feet with a nine-match unbeaten run but have lost three of their last four. The way both teams have been playing I think we can play the Overs here and it may be worth chancing Over 3.5 goals at around 3.40 with a view to trading. For those who like shorter prices, Both Teams To Score at 1.67 looks fair value.

West Brom v Norwich

West Brom’s nine match unbeaten run was ended at Blackburn with Norwich having a twelve-game unbeaten run thwarted by Derby at Carrow Road. These two are highly likely to be challenging for promotion and three points here would be a huge statement. A draw would satisfy the visitors and they have managed six from thirteen away this season. The game earlier in the season saw West Brom win 4-3 at Norwich and goals should once again be the order here with Over 2.5 at 1.67 and Over 3.5 at 2.75. I like both of those but prefer a Lay of West Brom at 2.10 with a view to trading.

Millwall v Blackburn

In three of the last four meetings today, these two have been level at 0-0 and 2-2 twice. The last three meetings today at Millwall were all Over 2.5 goals. Millwall are much stronger at home having lost just three of thirteen and are unbeaten in their last three games. Blackburn ended a three-match losing run by beating West Brom last time out but have won only three on the road. This game looks a real possibility to end as a draw but Over 2.5 goals is currently 2.00 and that is a better option.
