This is a busy period for English football with three games in a week so beware we can get some strange results as fatigue can affect some sides more than others.

Birmingham v Brentford

Recent head to head saw four of the last six go Over 2.5 goals and Brentford have won on their last two visits to Birmingham. Both sides have been involved in games with plenty of goals recently, so it would be no surprise to see this game go the same way and Over 2.5 goals is the shout.

Leeds v Hull

In five recent head to head, Leeds have won three with two draws, the two games at Elland Road finishing 1-0 and 2-1. Leeds to win and both teams to score looks a viable option with Hulls recent improvement in form.

Middlesbrough v Ipswich

Six of the last eight head to head have ended with one side failing to score. Middlesbrough have won three of the four home games with Ipswich winning just once in eight matches. Middlesbrough to win to nil.

Millwall v Nottm Forest

Millwall have slipped badly in recent weeks but they have lost only two of the last eight head to head although Forest have lost just one of their last four visits to Millwall. I think Forest can go here and win with Over 2.5 goals the other option.

Norwich v Derby

Two attacking teams in what should be a Xmas cracker and four of the last seven meetings today have ended level. At Norwich the recent head to head ended 1-2, 3-0, 1-1 and 3-2 and overall ten of the last twelve meetings today have seen Both Teams Score.  Correct score trading around 2-1 and 2-2 might be the way to go.

QPR v Reading

Eight of the last nine head to head have ended Under 2.5 goals but I have a feeling that this might be a bit more attacking and if they are a decent price, Reading to win with a view to trading if they lead might be worth chancing.

Swansea v Wigan

Neither of these two have really got going this season and both look to be “safe” in mid-table. Wigan are quite resilient and although Swansea have been scoring goals, breaking Wigan down might not be easy. The only recent meeting at this level was a 0-0 draw I October and I can see this game being Under 2.5 goals, it might be worth trading if 0-0 at half-time.

West Brom v Sheff Wed

Only one recent meeting which ended 2-2 in October courtesy of two late West Brom goals. Since then the two have gone opposite ways with Wednesday struggling and West Brom sitting in a play-off spot. West Brom to win and trade for your stake ack if they lead by two.
