La Liga continues this weekend and, as always, we’ve got the best of the action covered.
Friday 1st March 2019
Rayo Vallecano v Girona
Just the one meeting at his level which Girona won 2-1 in October. Rayo have lost their last four matches as had Girona before their stunning win at Real Madrid. Not really a game to get involved in but we should get goals so Lay The Draw and trade out at a goal.
Saturday 2nd March 2019
Espanyol v Valladolid
Espanyol have finally got back to their early season form with three draws and a win in their last four games. Valladolid have lost three of their last four games and have been dragged back into the relegation fight. Espanyol have won seven at home and are tough to beat there but there have been three draws in the five most recent meetings and that looks a likely option again. Try trading correct scores 0-0 and 1-1 for a green book.
Real Madrid v Barcelona
They don’t get much bigger than this and Barcelona will look to continue their decent run in the Bernabeu, they have won on four of their last five visits, scoring fifteen goals in the process. They have also won five of the last eight overall, losing just once. On current form you cannot look past Barcelona, but the truth is that neither are playing at their best, although Messi showed his class at times in the Sevilla game. Barcelona have lost only two all year and could afford to draw this match, but they will go for the jugular and completely destroy any small chance Real still have of the title. I can only see one winner so where does the value lie? I’m going for Barcelona to win at 2.50 and a small interest on Barcelona to win and Over 2.5 goals at 3.30.
Sunday 3rd March 2019
Eibar v Celta Vigo
Celta were on a shocking run of form that has seen them drop dangerously close to the relegation zone. Following five successive defeats they managed to beat Sevilla before losing twice again and then a 0-0 draw at Alaves. At least they are going to a ground where they have had a little success, two wins and a draw on their last four visits but it would take a leap of faith to support them at present. Eibar have drawn seven of their last eleven and are unbeaten in nine at home, so it is a bit of a fortress. Back the draw and trade out at 70 minutes if level.
Real Betis v Getafe
Can the enigmatic Betis beat the solid no nonsense Getafe, who continue to outperform most people’s expectations? Getafe have not won on their last five visits to Betis but have drawn three of those. Getafe have only lost two in thirteen and they were to Barca and Atletico so if Betis are not at their best, they will struggle. Both teams to score at 2.10.
Real Sociedad v Atletico Madrid
The last six head to head have all been home wins with the games in San Sebastián ending 3-0 and 2-0. In the last eight meetings, seven have been won to Nil. Atletico have to win games to keep the pressure on Barcelona and if they really think they can win the title they will need to win here and beat Barcelona away in April. Sociedad are themselves unbeaten in seven and have won three and drawn one of their last four at home. Small stake on Sociedad at 3.50 with a view to trading.
Valencia v Athletic Bilbao
Valencia have now drawn fifteen of their twenty-five games this season but have lost only four times, once at home. Athletic have lost just once in their last eleven, to local rivals Sociedad and have drawn six away this season. The last two head to head were also draws although they were in Bilbao and Valencia won the last two head to head in the Mestalla. Valencia to win at 1.91.

80% of private investors trade the wrong way and that is why they lose money trading. Worse still, they spend thousands with “teachers” – mostly charlatans who have been sacked, failed in finance or are just internet marketers.
