WARNING – LAYING LONG PRICED HORSES IS VERY RISKY AND CAN LOSE YOU A LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY. Long priced horses win more often than you might think. Please remember that if a £2 lay at 50 wins it will cost you nearly £100.
First of all I am no trader, I’m a gambler, but I like making money. I’ve been trying out a system which many would call suicide-amd all real traders are welcome to laugh in my face-but it works for me. I thought I would post a few results and let you laugh some more as you see me lose it all.
I’ll start with a bank of 300 and all lays will be 50 or more on BF
First selection was Ellenshe lay 3 at 90 320 perth (sorry it was late-they wont be in future)

Errrr….
I’m going to let this thread run as an interesting exercise, but I’m also going to stick a big red warning at the top.
No offence meant gus – I know you like a gamble, but laying long priced horses is not by any means risk free. They can and do win.

i agree 100%-this is only a bit of fun-absolutely the way NOT to make money-its meant to be a bit of a laugh at my expense-nothing more-anyone who follows the selections WILL LOSE and LOSE A LOT
by Gentari » Thu Sep 23, 2010 6:33 pm
What criteria are you using to select these horses Gus?
by gusyonok » Fri Sep 24, 2010 7:39 am
no criteria really-just that they are 60 or bigger on BF-the point is that this is everything that trading is not-trading is low risk well thought out and designed to make safe steady profit-this is just random madness that has to end in failure. The sad thing-and what I am trying to highlight-is that this system is being sold as we speak as a money maker-and plenty of people will be taken in. If youve got 300 to spare and want a bit of fun-but realise that you will lose the 300 sooner or later then fine-if you think its the Holy Grail of betting youve been looking for, think again. Too many charlatans take advantage of people’s naivity
by corner123 » Fri Sep 24, 2010 8:01 am
This, precisely, is why I am letting this thread run. there are plenty of laying systems being sold out there, and it is very easy to be sucked in by long “winning streaks”. But when you are laying £2 to lose £100 and you will also pay commission on any winnings, the result is certain losses when the inevitable winning horse arrives.
by Gentari » Fri Sep 24, 2010 9:27 am
OK, I see the point now Gus.
I applaude you for actually having a go, but can think of better things to do with £300

That’ll do for today. Pyroleen-glad to entertain and amuse-that’s what this thread was intended for anyway although some seem to be taking it too seriously. As I have said on many occasions-the serious point behind it all is that plenty of punters are being suckered by systems like this and plenty of conmen are making cash out of peddling a totally worthless and dangerous laying “strategy”
See you tomorrow pyro-glad I’ve got 1 reader at least!!
by mikeymp » Sat Oct 02, 2010 11:33 pm
Fabulous ROI , where can I purchase this system please?
by corner123 » Sun Oct 03, 2010 6:45 am
Logically and realistically, since every horse is priced at 50 or more there should be less than 1 winner in 50. The snag is that you don’t know when that winner is going to pop up – there has already been one near-miss.
Has anyone else noticed the subtle increase in stakes so that gus is actually risking his whole bank on every bet? This is probably some sort of inverse martingale system or something, but it is designed so that whenever the winner comes, the result is total wipeout.
I’d have taken my £300 out and be doing this “risk free” by now!
by gusyonok » Sun Oct 03, 2010 8:33 am

BOOOM!!!! He’s broken the grand mark!
If this wasn’t in the name of science, I’d be yelling “GET OUT, GET OUT NOW, YOU FOOL!!”. In fact, if it was my cash I probably would, lol certainly the original £300!
But this is an experiment, a demonstration and top marks to Gusyonok for running with it. This thread does demonstrate perfectly, though, how easy it is to be fooled into thinking it’s a ‘Holy Grail’ laying system. There ARE systems remarkably similar out there for sale at around (and in excess of) the £50 mark. “Learn how I turned £300 into over £1000 in less than two weeks!” or “This is it, the ultimate betting system. Earn unlimited cash betting on rubbish horses to NOT win!”, or the cliché of:“Insider pro-gambler secrets”…..
I’ll be writing an article and / or video on just this subject soonish. Until then – don’t believe everything you see on the internet…..
by gusyonok » Tue Oct 05, 2010 7:19 am
spot on pyro!! But don’t forget these gems:
“100% strike rate!!”
“Selections found in seconds”
“I was a losing mug punter like YOU until I discovered the SUICIDE SYSTEM!!”
As you say this is a demonstration or experiment if you wish, but every lay I list here is backed up with my own money. After all it wouldn’t be fair to point out the futility of such a system without suffering myself. I’m taking one for the team if you like, but I’m happy to lose £300 if it saves one person from being suckered into these crazy systems. Remember:
1) Lay systems ALWAYS lose in the end
2) Doubling up systems like Martingdale ALWAYS lose in the end
3) People who sell systems aren’t doing it to help punters-ONLY to help themselves get rich
4) Risking big money to win peanuts is madness
5) NEVER buy a system with your hard earned!

by corner123 » Tue Oct 05, 2010 6:12 pm
Indeed – outsiders do win, but after a winning run of over 90 horses you’d think you had the winning system of all time. Of course the very next horse could be the next loser…
What do these systems tell you you should do when the inevitable happens and you lose your whole bank?
by mikeymp » Tue Oct 05, 2010 11:12 pm

Rather than not encouraging people to try this system, you may be having the reverse effect. Over 90 horses before losing the first time and now you are at it again for the second time! We get the point, call it a day and save your money.
by gusyonok » Thu Oct 07, 2010 1:43 pm

Why don’t you back them?
Footnote by corner:
This question wasn’t answered on the thread, but the answer, almost certainly, is that commission would take away all of your profit, if there was any. These are just random outsiders, the market is approximately 100% before commission, so logically over time you will lose approximately your commission by backing random horses.
