Levante v Atletico Madrid

A mixed bag of results in recent meetings today in Levante with two draws and a win each on the last four occasions. All four were Over 2.5 goals and five of the last six overall head to head were the same. Atletico have won four and drawn one of the last five meetings today. Atletico have come back well organised as expected. The choice is Atletico at 1.66 or Under 2.5 goals at 1.73 with preference for the latter as a trading option.

Atletico Madrid 28% Over 2.5 goals 21% Over 3.5 goals

Since the resumption Levante have won one drawn one and lost one. One over 2.5 goals and two Under. Atletico have won one and drawn one, with one Under and one Over.

Barcelona v Athletic Bilbao

Barcelona have been a little indifferent since they resumed, but this might be the perfect game for them. They have won four of the last five meetings today at home, but maybe the most important stats here is that the last five overall head to head were all Under 2.5 goals. Barcelona are a little skinny at 1.36 but should win so it might be worth chancing them to win to Nil at 2.40.

Athletic Bilbao 27% Over 2.5 goals 10% Over 3.5 goals

Since the resumption Barcelona have won two and drawn one. One was over 2.5 goals and two Under. Athletic have won one and drawn two, with two Under and one Over.

Alaves v Osasuna

Only three recent meetings today at this level, with two wins for Osasuna and one for Alaves. Alaves had a fine win over Sociedad and Osasuna had a thrashing off Atletico. Alaves would be backable at 2.50 apart from the fact that a draw would suit both sides and the game may peter out into a dull affair. A chance is taken on Under 1.5 goals as a trading angle at around 2.80.

Osasuna 45% Over 2.5 goals 34% Over 3.5 goals

Since the resumption Alaves have won one and lost one with both games Under. Osasuna have lost one and drawn one, with one Under and one Over.

Real Sociedad v Celta Vigo

Sociedad have really slipped up of late and have lost two of the last four meetings today at home, so this might be a tough ask. Five of the last six overall head to head were Over 2.5 goals and with doubts about both sides at present, going Over 2.5 goals at 2.10 might be the best trading angle, even though three of Celta’s last four games ended 0-0.

Celta Vigo 31% Over 2.5 goals 24% Over 3.5 goals

Since the restart Sociedad have lost one and drawn one with both games Under. Celta’s two games were also Under with one loss and one draw.

Real Madrid v Mallorca

Only one recent head to head which Mallorca won 1-0 back in October. Real have won their first two games easily and should see off a Mallorca side fighting relegation and who have won just one away, with eleven defeats. Real Madrid and both teams to score is a tentative selection at 2.50, as nearly half of Real home games see the visitors score.

Since the break, Real have won both with both Over. Mallorca have had one draw and two defeats with two games Under and one Over.

Real Betis v Espanyol

On current form you would not want to be backing either side here, with slight preference for Betis who would have got a draw at Bilbao but for a late penalty miss.

Espanyol have won on two of their last four trips to the Benito Villamarin Stadium, but the last two head to head games have been draws. Three of the last four encounters were Over 2.5 goals and I feel sure there must be goals here. We could chance the Over 3.5 goals at 3.60 with a view to trading.

Espanyol 47% Over 2.5 goals 23% Over 3.5 goals

Since the resumption Real Betis have been poor, with two losses and a draw. One game was Over and two Under, the same as Espanyol, who have won one drawn one and lost one.
